The further you go down, the harder the enemies are, the loot gets better, rarer encounters start to occur (Hunters, rare rooms, interesting puzzles, etc).
I really loved that idea Rush.

When I first played Survival, I had just hit level 30. I went in and finished it. It was then that I realized it resets every single time. I was like, I just leveled all the way up, you want me to do this every time? However, after I played the main missions and such for the gazillionth time, I gave it another try. I have some motion sickness issues with the snow (just like I do with the rain in TD2). Other than that, I found it very refreshing and actually a lot of fun. The one thing they omitted was should have been random loot locations and drops. Subsequent runs got easier and easier with every run until that mode was boring too.

For the Underground I more or less like the game mode. But, anymore, that game mode annoys me very quickly. The shock ammo sucks, particularly when you shock an enemy and it kneels down and slides at super speed right to you then pops up right beside you and one hit kill melees you (Hunters). It has far surpassed the most hated directive before the change in directives. The other was if you reloaded, you lost all ammo in the magazine. The path finding is also VERY annoying. It will tell you to go to a point, only to then tell you to go through a door 10 feet from where you were standing. Also, all the traps and such got old. They weren't difficult, just boring. I generally just run through them and let the status effect take place rather than mess with disarming it. The pulse jammers really bother my motion sickness issues as well. I will make a beeline straight to them and blow them up (or get killed trying).
On my 2nd account, I have one character already maxed at 40, the other 3 are at 35+. Once I get them all leveled up, and get all the commendations, I probably won't ever be back down there except to perhaps educate a new player on hunters. At least in the UG they are predictable if you know what to look for.

Well, at least it isn't the West Side Piers. I detest that area. I think that was their attempt and giving a PvE DZ experience. NOT. EVEN. CLOSE...

So if the idea isn't that we want a UG mode, what about ideas for a UG-esque mode? Something that is randomly generated, and maybe lends credit to both survival and UG aspects?

Endless enemy spawn missions like what WSP gave us isn't my idea of a good time unless I am specifically in the mood for endless combat in a small theater.

I'm sure the devs have a very good idea what will bring the players back (pve) and its not raids. I would guess a survival type followed by an underground type mode would top the list as Hunters are the most talked about (missing) boss type experience in the game. I'm a bit cinical about UBI at times but the 1st year birthday is around the corner. That combined with the need to generate profit means I expect gear 2 to drop and paid Dlc. I fully expect all the missing content many of us want may magically appear lol.

I mean there were several posts from early last year about it and even a few state of the games talking about it. So I wonder where the disconnect happened.

So its doubtful we'll see any UG or Survival now. I mean heck, the last PVP mode had less players then Survival and UG in TD1
maybe there are 30 posting talking about survival mode, which seems a lot but it's only 30 people in games. For my part the survival and underground mode are droppings, I have only played a few times and the times that I am playing when I was doing a matchmaking, there was never anyone, so the figures must be true that can people were playing it, I could sometimes play underground matchmaking, which was much better than survival. but for survival mode I happened to do a 1 hour matchmaking without having anyone. So I'm glad it's 2 bad mode won't come back and I hope not to hear about it anymore

Stop with this trash mode and go play ARK, is a rpg shooter not a survival game

Only « resistance » was a good mode in D1

I'd like the ability to travel BACK To NYC within Division 2, it would add to more play troughs, or to other states. the NYC map is still there, why not allow us to move between cities? perhaps the government creates or finds the 'underground' tram that connects every state, it's super secure and cannot be breached -that way the bad guys can't get it OR have them 'take over' strategic stations that we need to 'take back' in order to facilitate the ability TO travel to and from NY<--> DC

They could make variation o Underground for Division 2. You start in underground tunnels (DC is full of them no doubt), then fight your way to some varied location of some kind where trip would finish, Then move through other tunnels to other facility ... facilities could be random and include anything - large shopping mall garage or warehouse, some old federal bunkers, secret lab in Pentagon, missile silo, you name it. All procedurally generated with varied objectives.

    I can dream.
