What kind of BOSS we(I) need

    Hi.

I think players will prefer BOSS more identical looking and skills. which is not only strong, but also smart.

Most of the BOSSes in the game players hunt everyday are alike. they just looks heavy, with strong armor, a heavy weaon, stand there march down. their mod even looks alike. At least it is hard for me tell who that boss.

In the other way i have seen a Elites in DZ of divition 2, a few BOSSes in the RAID (LUCY, BUDDY and razer back ) and the rouge agents in division 1.

It will be more interesting that if the bosses can use more skills, like spotter, firefly, hacker tools, minitank, supportive skills. it will be better if they can use a combination of the skills. because players are smart and they can defeat a strong but simple boss easily and get bored quickly.

A boss, is not only the BOSS unit itself, but also the environment, the troops support him, the skills and weapons they equimped. like the boss in Roosevelt Island. the two BOSS is not the kills, but a COMBINATION of the two hammers, minigun and a strong troop.

DARK ZONE, there are indeed some changed and different BOSS.
The boss is one aspect, but I think it is easier to improve and enhance AI.

Maybe turn existing hero difficulty into a challenge.
It will be more fun to add hunters or additional random named bosses to the hero difficulty level, which can meet your needs.

Either Dark Zone or some of the Hunters... or even some of the more challenging Bounties might be right up your alley. Are there any times in Division 2 that you've gone solo against an enemy (or enemies) that were high-intensity close calls?

ODZ Supply drops which land in unoccupied landmarks are a fun challenge . There are always a couple of named elites, and at least one using a flame turret, bomber drone or other skill.

High difficulty bounties have custom skills that mimic ours, heck they even have healing skills sometimes (not talking about armor kits they also have)

yeah. just before I post this thread, i do met a group of named elites in ODZ. there are at least two of them. one use a machine gun and heal kit, the other use drones and seeker mines. they are very interesting. (except their looking. it is just ... same as other elites).

the first few second I was totally lost and does not know what happened. because I have never met such enemies in DZ before. After reborn, I run to that landmark again and find a way to kill them. it is not a perfect way though, but that is what I called tactical decision. (I hide myself in a room and shoot them. when they fight back, I will go back to the shelter and repeat the loop untill i get them. when the heavy heal, i need to rush out to kill him.)
this is what i like (personally). engage with new enemy, analyze them, find counter action, defeat them. not just pull the trigger until either the enemy or me is killed.
I hope there could be more of such bosses in DZ, RAID, and LZ.

There is also a possible good idea. there will be a large group of named elites in dark zone, like an invasion. they will kill everything they saw. agents in DZ will have to fight together against these enemies. if they do not engage or fight again each other, players will lose the DZ.

about AI, when i find they LMB, i feel clearly that they use machine gun to suppress me and they send some Assult team to flank me. their action follow the logic clearly. but i do not feel this in the division 2. they just run and run.
