    Are you happy with the mission difficulty settings?

    Do you think they are about right, too easy or too hard? What would you like to be changed about them ( if anything ) and how would you like them improved for both solo and group play?

    Nah they are fine, people who have decent gear and know how to play can do heroic without it being a complete breeze or too much of a pain, and more missions getting heroic difficulty later will help that.

    I would REALLY like to see Heroic level difficulty settings on ALL missions AND even classified assignments.
    There are certain classified assignments, like the Mexican embassy, that are so good,, that they could be VERY replayable if set at a higher difficulty.
    I really don't think that this would entail a high degree of work by the developers, yet it would give us a LOT more to do between content drops.

    I think they are a bit too easy to be honest. I don't think challenging is actually challenging and most players I know can solo them with ease, in a group they really are a breeze. Heroics with even just a reasonable group also seem fairly easy with nobody going down for entire runs and just destroying everything very quickly. I think the changes to the NPC AI helped in a recent update but the grenade spamming was a bit overdone and now players are stacking a bit more explosive resistance its not so much of a problem.

    I know the devs are trying to go for more class based groups after ' loot 2.0 ' drops and this makes me think that because of the changes all content may become more difficult, for me that's a good thing I think. All missions having heroic difficulty added and different factions to fight at heroic is something I'm definitely looking forward to and for me is a step in the right direction. Currently I'd like to see challenging difficulty actually made challenging together with heroic being taken up a notch, or a new difficulty setting above heroic like ' nightmare ' or something to really challenge end game players who are currently just sailing through missions.

    I'm also aware that the devs have said that the rewards for running more difficult content will be of better quality, that again is something I fully agree should be introduced that will provide a bit more incentive to improve builds and run tough missions.

    I emphasise that these are just my own views and I understand others will disagree which I fully respect but I would definitely like to see the game become a bit tougher at the higher difficulties.

    Difficulty was spot-on at launch.

    The forum erupted, bleating like stuck pigs about it being too difficult...........

    Challenging now seems a little easier than I'd like for both solo and groups. However, I still remember how intimidating it seemed before we all farmed decent gear. With that in mind, I'd leave the difficulty alone.

    Heroic is fine as-is, as soloing them is tricky, and groups still need to exercise caution.

    This might be better revisited once Gear 2.0 comes out and people have a sense of what their builds are capable of.

    Difficulty is off IMO. Challenging feels like hard and Heroic feels like what challenging should be minus the wipe reset. Heroics are kind of hard to fail unless you have a particularly bad group or too many people are running low damage funsies builds. Everything below Challenging is irrelevant snooze mode.

    Yes that's pretty much how I feel to be honest. As I suggested earlier maybe a difficulty above heroic would be the way to go to satisfy those that really want a challenge to get their teeth into while not altering the difficulty for the rest of the players who are happy the way the difficulty settings are right now.
