I build my own map in the Settlers IV map editor when I try this map in multiplayer it crashes instantly at my friend's computer either ''fatal error'' or ''Settlers IV stopped responding'' My friend also has exported the map to the game, any other ideas on how to fix this issue?

Did you ever solve your issue I have the exact same problem with custom built maps, only the ones provided seem to work. The support ticket is impossible at minute as chat is always busy and you cant submit a ticket any other way at present.

Although I'm unable to find any solutions for you just yet, I would like to ask you some questions. This will help me determine the root cause.

- Do the crashes happen with custom maps that you made, your friend made, or both?
- Are you both able to play your own maps without issues?
- Following on from the above question, do the crashes only occur in multiplayer when playing custom maps?
- Do either of you receive any specific error codes?
