The way I understand it, there are a limited number of players who receive rewards when the weekly challenge ends. Sort of like the season reset packs, but instead of tiering by SR, it's number of players. So maybe the top 5 scores in challenge might get the best prize, then second-best to the top 25, then top 100, etc. (I don't know what the actual number of players are that are counted in each tier, my numbers are just examples.)

Typically, the best challenge players get the best rewards. However, if you get bots on all 12 challenge matches, you're going to get a very high score, even if you don't deserve it, because you might have crashed out just 3 or 4 packs in if you faced real opponents.

Because your challenge score is not just how many wins you get, as it also gives you points based on how quickly you beat your opponents during challenge matches, bots will inflate your score. The more bots you face, the better your score, because you win those in about 15-20 seconds. I forget what other factors go into your challenge score, but match length is definitely part of it.

So this pretty much is the reason these bots are an issue for many players. Yes, it's nice to get free wins, and finish events a bit faster, but it also sucks to see a bunch of no-talent challenge players take the top prizes, when you've worked so hard to legitimately win those prizes, and don't get them.

I agree abput the challenge, but we do not finish event a bit faster, we can have a chance of doing it because of the bot, do you know since when i did not finish an event???!! Like since july last year, and i finish it because the bot was "an option", otherwise i would not even butter in enter the game.

you could say the same for those who get a load of taters or a load of whales, its luck of the draw, complaining about something that is helping people get better loot seems odd....

I think you are missing the point of this thread buddy, and other few replies tried to explain what this is about. It's not odd at all because a number of people including myself are affected by challenge invading bots. If somebody is missing rewards that were acquired consistently, and now they don’t because of an “illegal” tool that affects gameplay and consequently the proper distribution of rewards, then of course some can complain : p. I mean it’s cool for the people who couldn’t get any loot (In challenges) before and now they can (allegedly) but this is mainly about missing rewards, and getting them back eventually in the form of a compensation pack.

I guess people defending the bots presence are just against removing them completely, but again, this wasn’t even the main point, nor I referenced “no elo” bots, but challenge rewards. On the optimistic side; I haven’t played much challenges but I didn’t find any bot yet, so I wonder how are the ladder rewards going to end up this time (sometimes bots or ladder swipes happen in the last minutes of the challenge).

Bots are weird. Sometimes they rarely show up, sometimes they show up every game. EVERY game. Some days I log in all 3 of my accounts and only encounter players, sometimes I log in and only encounter bots.

The whole situation is funky and I can't BELIEVE RL hasn't fixed this yet.

Only met a few of them and that was during the weekend event, which was during daytime here. When I play weekdays in the evening I never met a single one. So I guess it depends on the habits and timezone of the person/people running the bots?
