Give your honest opinion on the new armors.

Waited a long time for new armors, they got revealed yesterday and will be released next week.

What are you thoughts on them?

I think we need more unmasked Headgear for each Hero.

90% re-skins of basic armours from Year 1 with the only new armour piece thrown in being a helmet. Only the Wu Lin seem to have gotten actual new armours with the exception of Zhan Hu who just got a variation of his default look. None of the year 1 DLC heroes seem to have gotten anything.

I don't know why they needed to take 1 and a half years to produce such minimal effort work. If the promise of trickling in armours throughout the Season(s) ends up being more minimal effort re-skins than that will be massive damp rag.

I've looked on a loot of fora and many fans seem to follow this sentiment.

Maybe a post from the Ubisoft Devs on why they decided to make this decision would help. And by that I mean a real answer and not "more armor coming next season' because that is still months away. They need to be honest with themselves as they fully admitted that we waited abnormally long for new armor, and all we got was a couple of new helmets and for the rest reskins from existing armor.

Ubi, make this clear with your fans!

They are good reskins and good reskins are better than nothing at all. They are good to tide us over until the actual new ones arrive, which is a pattern I don't mind them doing indefinitely.

year 1 DLC -> robbed completely
vanilla and year 3 dudes -> robbed halfway
wulin -> made out like bandits

    PK's new mask is nice.
Conq's helmet is unfortunately the sun hat variety and that is marginally suboptimal. The pot helms are better, period. Any Conq main saying otherwise is a counterfeit Conq and they need to hang up the flail and get a sword and go be a BP somewhere else.
    Nobushi's mask is a disgrace
Nuxia's helmets are just copies of tiandis which is also a disgrace but at least the execution she received is pretty good and makes up for it
    big LOL @ Warlord

    those are my quick thoughts

    Haha true, true.

In Ubi's defense tho, the F'd up with Warlord. They accidentaly put in an already existing set, the real one is floating around on the reddit somewhere.

Buuut then again, if Ubisoft themselves mistook a "new" set for an already existing one, then it does mean that even for them there have been minor adjustments between the sets (no hate, just stating facts)

The more characters they release, the less armor and weapons we'll see. It'll only get slower/lower quality with time.

Most of them are variants so not much to say...

Personally I think Tiandi's armor was the best by far.

A lot of the new armor was rather lackluster.

Some of the new sets even look lazy. Nuxia basically got a Tiandi set after Zhanhu had gotten a Tiandi set before (grey gear helmet). It's cool that they can now look like a unit, but some more creativity can't hurt.

I really hope the Y1 dlc heroes aren't forgotten and soon we'll get theirs...

This better not be the only armor sets we'll see in another 1-2 years

They are trying to use the same formula that worked for Rainbow Six siege, keep pumping out operators(heroes) and weapons, but it doesn't translate to this game because for one, they still can't balance anyone properly and have to go back and change each hero time and time again. Another problem with this is that it takes a lot of work to make new, original armor sets and the more characters they release, the more work it becomes.

It seems like the dev team is stretched too thin, nothing is getting the attention it deserves, from balancing to cosmetics. They even completely scrapped the new voice lines after they made poor choices for a few of voice actors.
