If that would be the case it would be broken yes because that would give Orochi a huge advantage. No hero should deflect unblockables like that. In Black Prior's case he takes a risk by initiating Bulwark Stance which exposes him to being gb. If Orochi were to have that he would be nothing like other heroes so yes it would simply break the game since unblockables are big offensive moves. I hope that was clear enough. But maybe Orochi can have something similar to BP, a stance he should enter to deflect unblockables that would make him vulnerable to gb that would be balanced, since it would involve risk taking
Wouldn't trying to deflect the unlockable put you at risk of being guard broken? Or baited out for his dodge lite? I actually think it would be a neat gimmic for Orochi. I wish he could also soft dodge out of his storm rush to get deflects.

About the deflect themselves. I think it needs to be normalized one of two ways. Each character can stop a chain and bust hyper armor, or each character gets a lite and heavy deflect ment for interrupting or trading. I don't like that some assassin's get screwed when it comes to deflecting hyper armor while others are safe.

I disagree. I bait deflect attempts all the time.

    Precisely this.

Welcome to my issues with bwc. Everyone is like "its balanced!" While im sitting here in the corner aware that its making the game more defensive then ever before.
    Unhealthy for offensive gameplay

I don't know how it would be unhealthy you can already just dodge the unblockable. In fact, it would give Orochi some uniqueness to him. The poor guy doesn't have anything really character specific. Shaman has her bite gimmick, zerk has his hyper armor, glad has his bashes, Shinobi has his mobility, nuxia has her traps and pk gets her bleed gimmick. Roach is the only on that doesn't have much of an identity. So why not make him the counter attacker (which he already is supposed to be) and let him be the guy who can counter unblockables with a deflect?

It's a good idea and wouldn't break anything.

I mean, if you're throwing an unblockable out at me, chances are I'm not going to be throwing an attack out at you unless I'm trying to option select you, but more than likely will be waiting to parry it or you to feint, but none the less this would not change anything of how the game is really played now.

With this logic we should take blocking and parrying out of the game too?

They both purport themselves as being experts. (If not outright saying that the way they talk implies it) and honestly, yeah, generally trusting either of them is pretty fair. I agree with most of what both of them say. But ive been around just as long as them just a btw. Since the beta, and ive played in diamond+ before. It has been a long time since i was that active tho now. And i havent played in duel tournaments/ranked since early last summer. But the point being their opinions and analysis, even tho well respected here and generally well informed, are not somehow better than anyone elses.

Yeah, you time it right when the attack hits you, but yeah it's not possible. That's the point though, to make it possible for Orochi since it would fit into his identity.

Almost all standard unblockables have a direction of attack so they can be parried. Were not talking about bashes.
