Breakpoint : A case study on how to **** your loyal customers.

Dear Community, you should know that following the recent update

the microtransactions in the store have been reduced by in some cases more than 50%.

I have been ripped off, they have taken advantage of my addiction to gaming (1400 hours) in game time.

I have continued to support and promote this game to people who thought it was rubbish,

and I have spent many hours encouraging and supporting other players in the game to stay and give it a chance.

Ubisoft Paris is a disgrace to the entire Ubisoft brand and should and will be held to account for their contempt.

    I am furious.

Fundamentally I choose to buy these items because I support the development of these open world games by Ubisoft,

problem is they price gouge people like me practically at every step of the way on every occasion possible.

Do not buy anything from Ubisoft ever again, its the only way they will learn.

I'm sorry I have to post this, deeply sorry.

Dear Ubisoft, this is not over you have started a vendetta.

I have all the free time in the world and I am going to make it my personal business to expose and destroy you and your criminal behaviour!!!!!!!!

Please also note that here in Australia we have consumer laws that protect us from this type of criminal commercial behaviour.

You will be hearing from me in the very near future regarding this matter.

Save your time and money. I also live in Australia and specialise in retail consumer law for retail marketing. You dont have a case, and a vender has the right to adjust prices as they see fit.

We'll see, in any case I will make it my personal responsibility to inform as many people on the internet as possible

the exact nature of Ubisoft Paris's business practices.

How about the rest of us who pre-ordered at full price, only to have super heavy discounts only 3 days after release due to poor reviews.

Don't most products in the world go for a cheaper price after a while.
Why would it be different with micro transactions.
What a stupid thing to have a fit about.
Like most "ADDICTS" you forgot to think, except about yourself.

it's a game. they still win if you waste any more of your time on them. Just don't buy anything more and go do something more productive with all that free time. cure cancer.

No worries Tsuan your entitled to your opinion, im not sure why you felt the need to personally insult me your a stellar human being

defending corporate greed and should feel extremely delighted with yourself.

It may not be illegal, but it is immoral.

Yes I paid full price for the base standard game only to watch it be discounted shortly afterwards.

So I already had a bad taste in my mouth, and maybe I should have known better from my past experiences alla Wildlands.

This doesnt make it okay, someone has to make a stand.

    Where is the personal insult.
    You called yourself an addict.
Making a stand against sales & cheaper prices?
    Good Luck.

I don’t know why people are tearing this apart and not focusing on Ubisoft here....

In Wildlands they would have occasional sales or bundles to prompt purchase, but the core price of the MTX stayed the same. The same can be said about Assassins Creed origins and Odyssey.

So when in the large amount of cases you can be pretty sure that the price is the price, in this case it’s changed. Now yes this is the companies imperative. But following the already large blow of being told your game purchase was a waste of your money, to now be told that the items you spent extra money on are now half the price due to the fact they aren’t selling is a bitter pill to swallow.

From my perspective, what the OP is complaining about is quite right. Ubisoft has not thought about the consumer and their relationship with the company at all throughout this game launch and decisions made. Which breaks the trust people once had. When that happens we are bound to get angry and annoyed.

I too bought the game at full retail, and bought a few extra MTX items. That trust was misplaced, I’m disappointed and have moved onto two far better games (the fallen order & DBZ: Kakarot) where there aren’t any MTX, you get the game and that’s it. I learnt my lesson, but we should be supporting each other, not insulting people because we didn’t have a crystal ball.

Haven't all products in your house gone on sale or got lower price after you bought them especially if you bought them when they first came out.
    It's basically Moore's Law
