Hi All,

I have recently gotten a new PC with windows Vista 64Bit, but unfortunately IL2 wont install on it!!

This means that I cant install Pacific Fighters or Forgotten battles

This has left me flight-sim less, and Im looking for advice on either

1.How to get IL2 to install, it will run off the cd,but wont install.

or

2.What other good ww2 flight sims are out there? Ive been looking around, and came across BoB Storm of war, which caught my eye, but there is little or no info online about it and the same 4 screenshots everywhere i go!! Plus it isnt clear whether its been released, or is going to be, or when.

BoB SOW is currently "vapourware"

Get Il2 46 in the meantime

It wont even run for me.

If i use the main setup file, it just sits as a process in my task menu and never works.

If i explore the cd, and run il2setup.exe, it gets to the hardware setup screen, but never does anything after i pick 'ok'.

I never get to specify an install path.

Some people have had good success with using a.exe and running that instead. Should be on the disc.

Nope, no a.exe

I did a search and all.
