    Who else is excited for Gear 2.0?

    I'm legitimately excited for the 1st time since before launch to login and play the game, just as soon as the new patch lands and farming becomes worth it again.


    Kinda sad that until then I really have no desire whatsoever, but really I'm just happy they FINALLY listened to us and seem to be putting in the major fixes that will hopefully stabilize the game's long-term viability. Though I'd be lying if I said I wasn't sick of this crap when it comes to these live service games, especially looters.


    Anyone else feeling mostly positive? My only real concerns currently are the "after episode 3" comments (hopefully like a week or so delay tops? Like if it's a month or more after that sucks...) and if they are going to address the chicken dancing in PvP. I haven't gone anywhere near the DZ since launch because of what an unmitigated disaster it has been (again) but I do miss the tense feeling of it.


    Also hey, devs if you guys are listening, Year 1 had a good launch but it's been a gongshow waiting for these updates to get the game into an acceptable state so how about some meaningful content for year 2 at a discount? I don't dare ask for it to be free, I mean that's just silly but I do think we at least deserve either some form of discount or token of appreciation for sticking it out.

    Or you know, just make whatever paid DLC comes in year 2 WORTH BUYING. Annoying as it may be to shelve out more cash at this point, if the content is legitimately good then I don't mind - I felt ripped off for D1's season pass too with the sole exception of Survival which frankly is what the base game should have been like as far as I'm concerned that content was amazing...

    So is there a comprehensive list of changes yet? I read the summaries on Reddit, but I couldn't find anything specific on a comment I saw about Hazard Protection being split up (I hope that's true, they should never have made a resist-all stat and definitely never allowed it to stack to 100% and so easily...)

    But I also have been really curious about what is going to happen with the Technician...

    I mean, is it just going to have its main talent re-worked to passively give free skill tiers? That's honestly pretty broken if they get more than even 2 I'd say (hell the current 50% boost is a bit much, effectively means you can get away with 1000 less SP than the other 3). And while the devs are at it they should really look at buffing the individual specializations' unique skill mods & variants. It's wonderful that the Tech is the overall best "Caster" for the game, but I strongly feel like certain things such as the Survialists' healing seekers should be buffed to stay competitive.

    has anyone heard about the acutal COST of taking a stat into the bench?
    they did not talk about it and i highly doubt that it would be free...

    I think storing attributes in the recalibration library will be free, applying them to gear will cost of course. Be sure to have full resources for ' loot 2.0 ' as players will be burning through them very quickly with all the initial recalibrations going on.

    I see many posts on here with people going on about how their builds were destroyed after TU 5 and 6 and to be honest I'm not too sure what all the fuss is about. I have 10 load outs which I use for various different things and after the 2 previous title updates had no problem in adjusting them. I spent about 5 minutes on each of them, switched a piece of gear, rerolled and attribute or 2 and swapped a couple of mods. After this all 10 load outs were actually stronger than they were before with very little effort on my part.

    I realise that some people don't make their own builds and copy them of You Tube or Division Builder etc and therefore have issues when things change but even with this scenario it doesn't take long for content creators to put something up for these players to reference. A day or 2 later they are stronger than before too which has to be a good thing.

    People have been complaining for months about the loot system and now there are some major changes coming they're complaining that they will have to change their builds. I think the devs are seriously stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea here aren't they.

    I have 600+ hrs in this game and only one chest piece dropped with 1000+ sp. I have looted over 16k pieces. So you are saying you have 10 builds and spent 5 minites on each means just one thing. You builds are trash. Do not discredit players time spent in game for good roles. Not to mention actually having a good build period. It involves many aspects of an actual build. Each talent, brand, attribute and recal. Not to mention time spent collecting materials.

    I laugh at players who make these claims of making a build that is good after only a few minutes.

    And no I am not exciting about refarming new gear with same ole stale content and for what? The next nerf in 3 months?

    I am looking forward to Gear 2.0. I was initially concerned about the small number of talent slots, but hearing that there will be 20 talents on the backpack and 20 on the chest alleviated that somewhat.

    Well, you can only pull one stat off each item. They mentioned that recalibration (i.e. using a stat) would be more expensive than it is now, but there hasn't been any indication as to what that means - i.e. credits or materials.

    They explicitly stated there will be "new things to play so you don't have to farm the same old stuff". Whether you think what they come up with is good is a separate issue.

    Tu8, tu9, tu10 all will follow suit. It's the nature of this kind of game. This main issues are stale content, constant nerfs and poor pvp with eac which is obviously a crap anticheat.
    If you actually take the time to read my post you will see that I said I spent 5 mins adjusting them after TU 5 and 6, NOT 5 mins actually creating them. They originally took me many hours to create and a lot of farming like everyone else, adjusting them was a lot quicker. Learn to read.
