Nobody questions the devs professionalism ( we know they are not ) but in your opinion do you think professional guys will ever step in this game to actually balance this game and not waste playerbase's time and money ?
Imo, it would take very little effort. They have the technicians, they have an incredible artista team, and they have a small but passionate playerbase, along with the fact the game is completely unique. The fight team is not a competent one (just look at all their mess llast year), but that could be solved.
They are totally lacking in decisiveness, however, at least until now. They are so afraid to overbuff or overnerf something that they don't dare to make a step (and when they do, it still happens). All it would take is one person with the authority to make the devs act, and the will to indeed make the game good. The no money left argument is a bad one, there are ways to create more good paying content. They just have no balls to do anything drastic, but that could be fixed anytime.
and the worst part is, they will completely ignore your post lolOriginally Posted by Goat_of_Vermund Go to original post
this man right here said the truth but with how devs react to such post we got no hope in actually implying this.
Do they though? I mean looking at the state of matchmaking throughout the game's life I highly doubt they have more than 2 people working on the tech side of that team. That's my outsider perspective at least.Originally Posted by Goat_of_Vermund Go to original post
The majority of For Honor's playerbase is not competent at the game. They complain endlessly about very trivial and stupid things instead of solving the issues leading to them being incompetent. The fight team at least has Stephan who almost always has a very clear picture of how to improve balance for the better because he chooses to listen to competent players. The guy who worked on BP was also competent enough to make the only well designed hero of Year 3. Thing is, we don't know what goes on with the fight team. Do they have interference from higher up? Did the guy who designed BP leave or were they outsourced? Are there things Stephan wants to do but is unable to because all manner of internal reasons? The fight team wanting to improve the game and actually having the manpower and/or resources allocated to them to be able to do it are two different things. None of which we have insider knowledge of.Originally Posted by Goat_of_Vermund Go to original post
RE: FH's playerbase, it's actually the largest out of any recent PvP fighting game in the last 3 years.
No balls, don't have the team size anymore, lack of leadership, lack of vision, no support from Ubisoft higher ups, etc, etc. It's anyone's guess because none of us work at Ubisoft.Originally Posted by Goat_of_Vermund Go to original post
It's really more of the game failing to teach players how to play. The training arena should have more than just 1v1. It should also provide different little scenarios that you can do that reflect what you see in the game. For example: hit external target 3 times, or gank opponent without giving revenge. Stuff like that I'm sure would help a lot of people.
