Mid season pick & win rates

    https://www.ubisoft.com/en-us/game/r...es:-mid-season

Oh look fraggers are still strong, shields and most ops from this year are in trash can (amaru is oddly positive win rate, gotta admit thats surprising).

I'm surprised that Kali isn't higher up on the list. Her utility is very strong, but this chart pretty much has her at the bottom of the heap both in wins and in usage.

There's a very low presence on the attacker side for a huge number of operators. Over half of the attackers are well below 10% presence. Defenders are a little bit better, but not by a lot.

However a lot of those defenders that have a higher presence almost all are brought for utility(doc would in my opinion be the only pure fragger as jager is still a necessity utility wise).

On the attackers side aside from the top three the rest are mainly utilty ops as well. And even then zofia is a 50/50 on utility and frags.

As for kali shes a high skill op with a very peculiar niche. As it stands im suprised she isnt at the bottom. Why bring her when on most sights a thatcher, twitch, or IQ can do the job with being hampered weapon wise. Most engagements are inside 10m so the sniper is meh unless youre playing bank or another map with longer los.

This is what confuses the hell out of me.

"Ela is a very popular Operator who suffers from a previous SMG recoil increase. Even if she remains decent in terms of Presence and Win Delta, we would like to bring her closer to her prime by improving the handling of the Scorpion EVO 3."

She was nerfed for good reason and is still in the top 10 for win rate on defence and overall shes just outside at 11 for all ops. So why in gods name would they buff her back to even close to her prime.

Gotta love that #SPAM that people use that devs say 100% didn't affect their opinion twice

That winrate does not tell you the 'whole' picture with Ela. its 1% win delta, it does not tell us her Kill ratio in those (picked games) it does not tell us her death ratio in those picked games, for all we know she could be 'winning' games but how much she is contributing to that win is up for debate. its why these graphs are very very bad to gauge 'performance'

Ill use Jager as a good example, hes in the 90% range and has been for 2 seasons but you have to ask yourself why? when you have so many attackers with so much utility it becomes a requirement to have a jager on your team because of this factor alone.

So many operators have access to 3 flash/2nades/2smoke
Operators such as Fuze/Nomad are countered by Jager and funny enough both these operators get access to smoke/flash (flash being nomad) and (smoke being fuze)

I feel if Jager gets a nerf on his weapon then Attackers in general need to have the number of utilities cut in half because its kinda ridiculous we can now have a 5 attackers with nades or 5 attackers with 3 flash (ash/nomad/capitao/hibana/thermite) = 15 flash and considering Jager only gets 3 ADS and it only counters 2 flash per device yh, he can counter less than half of the teams utility.

5 attackers with nades (dok/finka/sledge/buck/glaz) the funny thing is IQ got her nades removed because 'teams could bring to many nades to the table' is literally one of the reasons IQ lost hers but here we are with 5 man teams running 5 nades potentially and I wouldnt even mind that 5 operator combo is pretty damn effective in its own right.

Elas gadget is still one of the strongest in the game. Her shotty is still one of the best weapons for cqb especially in conjunction with the mines. To top it off the main ppl that the smgs recoil affected was in fact console players, the fact that she maintained a decent win and pick rate in pc plat and diamond ranks where the main weapon used is the evo then its a head scratcher as to why she needs a buff. Especially seeing as anywhere close to her prime was blatantly op.

Also in regards to jager if more ppl used throwables that often id agree however if they did we'd also would've seen wamai have a much larger pick rate as well. Honestly id say jager is either a 50/50 or 60/40 in regards to why hes picked either for frags or utility.

I mean i could somewhat understand if it was a console specific buff as it takes extremely skilled trigger discipline to use the evo effectively there but its not. As far as i know the main weapon used for her in those ranks is still the evo meaning we'll probably see her rates skyrocket.

Anyone out here caring about the shields still performing horrible? No just me ? Ok
Also why do they keep mentioning them wanting to nerf or that they are "monitoring" lesion but they never do it. Hes been op for more then 2 years now. Also smoke has been underperforming for a long time now as well but still he doesnt get a buff either. Really odd decision making and priorities over at ubisoft. Stop it with the acog removals pls (still cant believe you pulled through with it on maestro that will only push more people to doc and rook) and start giving out some long needed buffs and nerfs.

shields are broken right now. if you play as monty, no matter the ping you have, a defender can run right around you while you are still looking at them and somehow be behind you to get the knife. and then the insta replay confirms what just happened but its a bit wonky. its bs
