Ok so I have been playing offline to avoid the horror of finding out that this patch broke my game or something similar and now that I want to play (Off-Line mind you) I get this error. I am on steam so perhaps they have something to do with it as well but I thought that if I was Off-Line, Steam and Uplay should not bother me at all.

Of course something tells me this is Ubisoft forcing to download the damn patch but I am hopeful that it is just another glitch or bug that by snapping my fingers or clicking on my heels 3 times I can get rid of it. Yes? No?

Well then, I can not even embed the image:

Let me get this straight....there was a 21 gig update for this on the XBOX, and NOT ONE fix pertained to Ghost War?

So the cheating, the deranking glitch, the getting into buildings you arent supposed to, whatever is happening with mines lately... none of it was addressed?

How about fixing the aim assist that CONSTANTLY turns itself off!

Good job Ubi! You should keep this game alive since you wiped your collective asses with Breakpoint. Such a garbage game..looter shooter, gear score, hunk of junk no one asked for.

Wildlands is streamlined so much better with a clear cut story and mission where you dont have to worry about constantly changing your clothes and guns just to have the highest gear scores.

Ugh...nevermind, I will get a better response talking to my shoe. You people are truly useless..except when it comes to micro transactions and nickel and diming people.

Either this is a bug, or ammo pickups from fallen enemies now restock more than ammo. In any case, nothing game breaking so far. One of us should make a new thread to keep track of latest changes though.
My first test, after reading this was also the first challenge, and for me I had to re-stock flares back at the RP. This was after passing over a set of bodies before they de-spawned. Will also have to try some other situations with the consumables and see what develops.

Otherwise after the "update", I had a nice clean run with my main characters knocking out the challenges.

For Uplay it does not - you have a choice on the popup, either download the patch, of click to go off-line in order to continue to play the current edition of your game. Naturally not much help if one uses Steam.

My father and I are having a similar problem after we installed the update today (we're also playing on Steam). Despite verifying our internet connection is working properly, Uplay will not connect online, but when we attempt to start Uplay in offline mode, it automatically tries to connect online anyway. So we're stuck regardless. This is extremely frustrating.

FWIW, I'd post this over on the Player Support forum as well as write up a quick bug report with the description of the issue and submit it to customer support at the same time.

It was a No go Mike, as you can see in the Warning Pop-Up there is no choice but to go Online and once I did the game started but I doubt i downloaded anything because the game started fairly quick. Is there a way to know what version of the game one is on though?

Don't get me wrong, I rather NOT update yet if I don't need to because I am a few hours away from finishing the campaign with this character and I will be done with this until further notice.

This doesn't help any, but I long ago decided that Ubisoft games would only be via Uplay given they had their own service.

The only number I'm aware of is on the lower left corner of the main menu(?), and in itself, it doesn't tell you anything. I've assumed it means the version being played.

That being said, if would on the surface appear as if Ubisoft is forcing an update. However I still have the option with other games that have the update option to play off-line

Did you submit a ticket to CS and ask about the issue?.

I made the decision to go with Steam, don't really like any of them myself, after reading in Wildlands how the patches were 15GB+ whereas those patches from Steam were only 3 to 5 GBs so it was a no brainer to choose Steam.

And yes, I was talking about the number on the bottom left corner as well since no where else in the main menu does Ubisoft let you know the version of the patch, I guess that is another National Security thing they don't want us to know.

My wife already does not pay any attention to me so No, I don't need CS to tell me to go check if the battery of my SUV is charge perhaps in the hopes that checking will fix my issue or for them to respond with a Close email when we haven't even began to broach the subject. Too many horror stories read in the forums to even attempt to do so.
