Do we think that maybe, just maybe, they are really looking to revamp WL? I mean, the notes are hefty and the 21GB download is nothing short of decent.

No, unfortunately when you download an update for wildlands, you're downloading every previous update also - as it is all packaged as a single file.

An update to mercenaries mode though? Why waste the effort when there will almost never be enough players to fill a server?

They could not even do this right. I wondering, what the hell is wrong with this company??? They fail and they fail in everything they do.
A simple update is a problem for those guys.

[UPDATE] Maintenance is now underway on PlayStation 4. TU 21 will deploy next week on PC and Xbox One.

In all honesty, at this point... i'd rather see no new updates. At least wildlands runs well - i can't help but fear new bugs with each update... has happend too often ... so, my worst-case-scenario: they patch in some new bugs, and then call it a day, declaring this to be the really final update and leave things broken...

Patch, or Update if you really prefer the term, was not released yesterday, as a matter of fact, it was delayed. Who'd a thunk it huh!

Yes and no - for the PS4 only. XB1 & PC next week.
