Can someone please explain the RS gear setup for the wonderful Thursday live streams?
What are the mixer settings?
How is the audio out routed? Is it routed through an acual amp?
Or directly from a computer into recording device?
I normally play with headphones, however I have reached the point where i am mediocre and want to play through an amp.
One of the wonderful things about RS are the tons of computerized gear and tones.
I bought a splitter from line out on my computer. One line goes to head phones. The other line connects to cord that connects directly to a peavy amp.
I have zero experience with actual gear.
This seems to work ok particularly for lead....however it does sound 'muddy' when i play chords.
My focus has been playing and not to down the rabbit whole yet of gear setup.
I don't know much about my peavy amp. I plugged it into low gain with setting of 5. Reverb 0. Minor EQ tweaks.
Basically i set mixer to 30 % for all music and set my instrument to 100% so i can focus on what i am playing.
I use the volume on my compter to makes things louder softer.
Guitar knobs are all at 10.
The amp is facing me about 4 feet away.
Is this similar to what RS Team does for there broadcast?
Suggestions for better sound/set up?
I do get hum depending on what tone i use

Hey, GuitarGzak! I just asked David Stevens (primary board op and main gear-person for the stream), but he said that our setup is likely very different than what a personal streamer would want to use, primarily due to the unusual number of inputs/outputs we have going on. We can, however, confirm that we don't play through amps on our stream (the amps seen are set dressing for the moment). He also said, and I agree, that other streamers in the community are likely able to offer you more detailed and relevant specs/advice.
