I wish to lower my mmr to fight easier bots. At this point in time i am fighting level 2 bots and not only do they consistently beat me in 1v1s in solo PvE game modes my own bots have a significant loss ratio not to mention enemy bots definitely have better objective sense. If im fighting bots i want them to be easy. If i wanted a challenge i would go fight players. So i want to lower my mmr to fight easier bots. Any advice would be much appreciated.
I usually take the bot level I'm up against as a compliment, if you're still fighting level one bots it means you're pretty bad at the game.
Once you get level 2 bots, you've reached the next tier, instead of just hammering away and mashing buttons you need to start feinting, parrying, and play more defense. Once you get those motions into your muscle memory the level 2 bots will feel like level 1's and you can toy with them.
Just hope that you never get good enough to have to fight level 3 bots... they parry nearly every attack.
I think you should be allowed to choose bot level for all modes vs AI, that being said, there's only one way to lower MMR that I know of, losing vs humans, a lot.Originally Posted by VeriElid Go to original post
I was just trying to show you another way of looking at it, you're getting better at the game, that's why you play vs level 2 now. I don't think you'll get much better vs AI level 1 bots, they basically just stand there.
The only other thing I can suggest is playing arcade mode on the first or second difficulty.
It "might" be more than just losing matches though. My suggestion would be to enter in said "throw PvP matches" with a character like Zerker with reflex guard to lessen even accidental blocking, and then do nothing but throw dodge attacks from neutral, from the same direction, over and over, to offer out easy light parries. Who knows how the "skill level" rating also goes into what bots you're matched with, so I'd do this as an additional measure... I could be mistaken though and it's only wins/losses that count, so please do let me know if I am.Originally Posted by EvoX. Go to original post
Either way, that's some serious BS you have to purposefully ruin other player's PvP matches in order to get PvAI bot levels to your liking.
They really need to put in a Bot Level selection for PvAI. Leave auto-bot level for bot placeholders and afk/dropped player replacements for PvP matches.
