Wanted to start playing the game, and I found out in the opening race (Car) I can hold the gas pedal all the way down (Xbox Elite controller) and it slows down to around 60 mph in 1st gear and stays there. Not a single button anywhere on my mouse, keyboard or controller helps.
Thought it might be a bug with the mission itself, so I crawled through the opening. The boat and plane part worked fine. Afterwards, joining a second race (Streetrace) produced the same issue. I've googled the issue and found multiple other people with the same issue, yet no solution. Same for this forum.
The game in this state is unplayable to me. I've played the first Crew game perfectly fine with the same PC, same Controller, and never encountered any issues.
I hope someone has an answer to this, as I greatly enjoyed the first game, and would love to play this one too.
It most definitely is a controller issue. Restarted a couple times and tried different settings. Nothing's working.
When I disconnect the controller, the keyboard works flawlessly, but it's a keyboard. I'd love to be able to use it. I have never altered any control schemes for any game, so far in every game I connect the controller it just works.
I will fiddle around some more to see if I can find any info. I cannot make the issue more clear than it is. A video would show you a perfectly fine running game, except with speed unable to go past 60mph and gear in 1st. Thx for the quick responses

Thanks for getting in touch about this. This issue has been reported before and was caused by the game not being fully updated. To make sure that everything is installed correctly we recommend completely uninstalling the game (along with any stored saves) and install it again.
If the issue stays, please provide us with a video, so that we can forward it to the Crew 2 team.
I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
