Hey there, I wanted to take some time to express my opinion about the new Breach and why I personally don't really like the changes.
First of all, single pick is bugged, so I can't comment on that (you had one job, Ubi).
Let us proceed, I think the ram goes way too fast for its own good, there were times when I simply couldn't control the pace because I push the ram for a small while and I'm already at the gate. You keep talking about how Defenders win 58% of the time, but you did not consider why Attackers win the 42%: teamwork.
By bringing these changes, you just made the Attackers even more powerful to the point where if you're a Defender you lose and that's it unless the enemy team has no idea what it's doing, final phase is a big joke with the commander casually running very far from the spawn into the battlefield while you sit and watch him get destroyed.
You want to buff Attackers? Then buff the Defenders as well, make the Health Banner actually worthwhile to heal the commander or make him actually threatening with new moves and dirty tricks to ensure a single opponent won't survive on his own (I mean, you're not supposed to fight the commander solo).
Ever since the Testing Grounds, I have yet to count a single time when the Defenders actually won the match, even if they are clearly better players.
I personally feel like Attackers are too encouraged to push the ram because of its speed, first phase basically consists on pushing the ram as fast as you can and proceed to the next phase, at least that's what I saw every single match.
Second phase is basically 60% pushing the ram, 35% killing the guardian and 5% capturing the ramparts, which brings me to my next point: guardian buffs are too much.
No stamina drain for 2 full minutes, are you serious? Do you have any idea how op having unlimited stamina and instantly killing pikemen are? Defenders basically farm the spawn and stop the ram while Attackers are unstoppable killing machines pushing the ram, and good luck trying to stop them since they also have a full shield.
I'm not saying previous guardian was good, we all know he was pretty much a meme, but now he's too low risk-high reward and the fact that he spawns 2:30 minutes later doesn't help at all. I heavily suggest rethinking your changes, I would nerf the shield and give unlimited stamina for only 30 seconds instead of 2 full minutes.
I just finished streaming the Testing Grounds and managed to gather enough feedback to consider the Testing Grounds pros and cons:
- Attackers are too encouraged to push the ram because of its speed, this results in both teams fighting for the ram while blatantly ignoring other objectives, very boring;
- Defenders don't get compensated for the buffs the Attackers received, resulting in constant defeats;
- Guardian is low risk-high reward, unlimited stamina for 2 minutes is insane, having full shield is also pretty op;
- Everyone liked how old Breach was slow but rewarding, new Breach feels too fast and ends too soon, it ruins the fun and makes the game mode look more like Tribute/Dominion instead of its own thing;
- Single Pick doesn't work, mixed feelings about this change;
- Removal of tickets is great, that's about the only change we liked.
Pls ubi, I need my cent rework.
