    Testing Grounds - Breach Mode - Feedback

    Hello everyone,

    As we're starting to see a lot of feedback threads (thank you! we really appreciate it) we're creating another feedback thread to consolidate it so we can provide the team with feedback efficiently and more effectively.

    Starting Thursday January 16th at 9:00AM EDT, Testing Grounds will be playable in-game. This will be available in your current installation (so no need to install another build).

    We're excited to see community feedback and input on the changes brought to Breach this time around, we strongly encourage that you try playing a good number of matches first (especially with the addition of Single Pick).


    We would also greatly appreciate you filling out this survey.


    Also, for your part in helping us improve Breach, the faction with the most matches in Testing Grounds will be receiving 3k Steel!

    One last thing: We're aware that Single Pick isn't currently running as intended, we'll be performing maintenance today, Friday January 17th at 9:00AM ET / 14:00 UTC on all platforms to fix this.

    Respawn Timer

    In my latest match of the new installment of Breach, I've come across a few issues. First off, while occupying the Cauldron as an Attacker, a bot was able to return and contest the cauldron 4 times in a row.(I literally executed and stood around Capping waiting for the bot to return after the second time, How is this fair for someone playing the secondary objective, not to mention if there's more than one defender. 4:1 odds (excluding minons) Secondly, I saved a team-mate from execution and he STILL had a 23 second timer, although he was saved. Lastly, what's the point of working hard for an execution to ONLY gain three seconds. The only point to executions would be personal satisfaction. The Meta will just become lighting people to death. (Already Orochi and Tiandi's main way of killing.)

    I'm all for taking the tickets away till phase 3, but that only addressed part of the issue. The main problem being meaningful objectives throughout the match that give risk/reward for breaking up the groups.

    Also, it feels like the ticket generation at phase three heavily favors the attackers. 16 tickets mean the offensive team can wow three times in the commander before they break and that's more than enough time to down a commander.
    Lastly, with a lack of tickets to shut it a match early, that means defenders need more viable ways to deal direct damage to the ram. Adding that would also help break up groups.

    How about we make minions insanely powerful to the point where less than 5 characters in the game can even clear them in a reasonable amount of time and without dying horribly and make that the entire game mode.

    But what if people don't pick any of those less than 5 characters or they just don't bother killing the minions chief? You know the thing they have shown to not do almost all the time so far?

    I don't know dude - who cares? We ' just designing the mode - let them figure it out.

    The implementation of tickets was explained as a balance to the fact that the defenders lose resources they can never regain in terms of ram progression and the archer zones. So the devs have taken away the tickets, you'd think that they need to give something to the defenders in terms of what those tickets balanced.     Also, I guess, good luck playing the new characters whenever they come out because it is going to be a race to click them. If the devs want to provide a 'rich team experience suited to different players and roles' then the only way to do that outside of disabling single queueing is to have players queue for role before matchmaking, that way everyone gets their pick and every team has one of every class in it. Personally I can guarantee that if I am not able to play the hero I feel like playing before work or the hero I am grinding (and not many of those left until I got rep eight with all of them) I will be quitting in the grace period because I did not come to play who can click fastest and if that screws anyone over that is their problem. From what I have seen whenever this has come up, if the percentage carries over outside of this forum I will be far from the only one.

    Ever since the Testing Grounds, I have yet to count a single time when the Defenders actually won the match, even if they are clearly better players.
    I personally feel like Attackers are too encouraged to push the ram because of its speed, first phase basically consists on pushing the ram as fast as you can and proceed to the next phase, at least that's what I saw every single match.
    Second phase is basically 60% pushing the ram, 35% killing the guardian and 5% capturing the ramparts, which brings me to my next point: guardian buffs are too much.
    No stamina drain for 2 full minutes, are you serious? Do you have any idea how op having unlimited stamina and instantly killing pikemen are? Defenders basically farm the spawn and stop the ram while Attackers are unstoppable killing machines pushing the ram, and good luck trying to stop them since they also have a full shield.
    I'm not saying previous guardian was good, we all know he was pretty much a meme, but now he's too low risk-high reward and the fact that he spawns 2:30 minutes later doesn't help at all. I heavily suggest rethinking your changes, I would nerf the shield and give unlimited stamina for only 30 seconds instead of 2 full minutes.

    I just finished streaming the Testing Grounds and managed to gather enough feedback to consider the Testing Grounds pros and cons:
    - Attackers are too encouraged to push the ram because of its speed, this results in both teams fighting for the ram while blatantly ignoring other objectives, very boring;
    - Defenders don't get compensated for the buffs the Attackers received, resulting in constant defeats;
    - Guardian is low risk-high reward, unlimited stamina for 2 minutes is insane, having full shield is also pretty op;
    - Everyone liked how old Breach was slow but rewarding, new Breach feels too fast and ends too soon, it ruins the fun and makes the game mode look more like Tribute/Dominion instead of its own thing;
    - Single Pick doesn't work, mixed feelings about this change;
    - Removal of tickets is great, that's about the only change we liked.



    Pls ubi, I need my cent rework.

    Hey, thanks for that. We collect the data for threads/posts already posted before we created this mega thread. This was just to help with future feedback and make it easier for users to discuss between themselves on their opinions/feedback.

    What the hell are people even talking about? I thought defenders ended up being accidentally buffed more. I've played 3 new breach games so far. 2 as defender, 1 as attacker. Won both as defender (ram crit, 6 tickets to enemy team both times) quite easily and lost as attackers (ram crit, only 6 tickets to us).

    It is so incredibly easy to get the ram to crit by phase 3 and burn the attackers with 6 tickets lol.

    Attackers need to have ram healing capabilities, or a second way to attack the gate. NOT BOTH, ONE OR THE OTHER.

    Agree! dont know what those people talking about. I played the testing Ground 3 times today, all as Defender and won all 3 Matches, two times got the ram to crit and left the Attackers only 6 tickets and once the ram was destroyed in Phase 2 cause there is no healing.
    6 Tickets are very low and almost not manageble to kill the commander, in normal Breach Matches we have usually mor then 6 Tickets.
    I only played 3 Matches so far but i dont see that the attackers to strong, lets Play some more and see what happens when the peole get used to the changes.

    Alternate guardian buff idea:

    If the guardian is killed, all allied pikemen get the "inspire" buff.

    Reported unfairly

    I was in a dominiun game and when it ended a player from the other team said he reported me for hacking.Well it is obviously a lie cuz i play this gama for 19 days on my main account and never cheated and same goes to this account .So i hope ubisoft doesn‘t ban me.You can watch the replay i think i didn't do anything and i don't want to get ban on my favorite game so please help
