g33kfish: Thanks for that! Just to check, you have ensured that your controller was up to date? Also, have you already tried verifying your Uplay PC game files?
Thank you for reporting that to us, blackiiyto.
Just to confirm, are you able to use the controllers if they are plugged directly into your system? It's only when using with Wirelessly?
It's very simple, but you must have steam. open the steam launcher and go to the top left where it says "games". Click it and a drop-down should appear. Go to add non-steam games and add the epic launcher to your library. once that is done, open epic through steam, enter big picture mode on steam (the top-right icon that looks like a fullscreen), and open steep on the epic launcher. this worked first try for me and was a 2-minute fix.
EDIT: ok it's a little buggy but it's better than it was.
Just purchased Steep on Ubisoft Connect as part of Gamescom sale, and apparently Xbox Bluetooth controllers still don't work with this game.
I'm using a Series X controller with firmware fully updated-- when on Bluetooth, RB bugs out and usually opens options menu instead of the sports wheel or parachute.
If I plug the controller in with USB-C cable it works without issue.
Hey Tommysonic5, thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear about this.Originally Posted by Tommysonic5 Go to original post
May I just double-check if you had a chance to go through steps suggested in this article already?
Let us know and we will take it from there.
I'm experiencing the same issue as that person. RB on my xbox controller is taking me back to the start of the first run instead of opening my parachute.May I just double-check if you had a chance to go through steps suggested in this article already?
I've checked my drivers, I've verified my game data, the only thing I haven't done is opening epic through steam. If that's the fix, I'd be pretty annoyed. After I send this message I'm going to try restarting my PC for a 3rd time and see if that helps.
I will say for anyone checking, when I first started the game, it would register my controller by changing the input suggestions but the buttons wouldn't work. I'd have to use the keyboard to pause the game and my controller would work in the menu but not in game. After restarting my controller worked in game.
I dont have a lot of programming knowledge but there appears to be a bug in the priorities for the inputs. It's not fully handing off from one system to another, but is partially handing over control. It makes sense because the RB is used in some controller settings to restart a run, and then is screwing up the hand off, once again, to the wing suit control priority. The repeat problems through out the system point to a programming bug in the hand off. It's partially completing but not fully completing it. Like many bugs, Restart and hope that the bug goes away unless the developers release a patch which I doubt will happen.

Thanks for reaching out to us with this and sharing your findings.
This has been noted to the team, however as Steep has since concluded core development, we can't confirm if a patch will be released in future regarding this.
In the meantime, we'd suggest giving the previously noted steps a try or continuing to use the controller via a wired connection while playing Steep.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused and if there's anything more we can help with, please let us know.
Thank you!
