In a sense, it is pathetic, but that's mainly down to the numerous bugs and the poor structure. At least with New Dawn they've addressed those issues with the exception of the odd one here and there.

FC5 is really good in parts but the flaws outlined above make it a notable and irritating disappointment overall, and in my book, receives the unwanted badge as the lowest rated title of the franchise.

If you can make a massive modern open-world game with no bugs, I'd love to see it.
And by "structure" I'm assuming that means you didn't like the captures. Which is a mechanic (after 1800 hours in campaign) I can say I actually enjoy...
Perhaps not something which would benefit every entry in the series, but it certainly didn't make me rage, like so many others.

Your book must be written by a very poor author.

If you read my post with more care, you'd have noticed me praising up New Dawn for addressing the bug issue. Furthermore, some of the other Far Cry titles didn't contain numerous bugs so that invalidates your argument. Yes, there may have been a couple of minor ones, but that's to be expected.

With FC5, I experienced major bugs including Cheeseburger dying shortly after feeding him the salmon, never to return - despite trying everything including replaying the mission. In several missions I died in, the game automatically completed the mission. I could go on.

As for the capture missions, they were challenging albeit slightly annoying at times but not enough to warrant criticism. The structure I was referring to was more to do with a disjointed imbalance where a lot of aspects were hurriedly put together without much care or thought compared to previous titles.

Apologies though, for having an opinion and voicing it.

Your post is still very vague - I still don't understand what you mean by "structure"? What was "hurried together"?
I have to say, usually when I'm on the polar opposite of a game I can at least see WHY people feel that way but the hatred towards FC5 is so confusing to me.
I'm not saying the game isn't flawed but those flaws are so easy to overcome that I have to believe that to let them ruin the game for you is by choice to be honest.
You're entitled to your opinion but it at least should be constructive.

I don't hate FC5, I just found it regularly annoying. Considering I couldn't complete the game due to various bugs, you should be able understand that. OK, it didn't ruin the game completely but if you can't finish it in full, isn't there a fundamental flaw there?

I thought that quantity was placed ahead of quality in terms of the missions. The cow punching one for example. There was a silo close by and I decided to blow it up before embarking on it. Mission is deemed complete. Had one where I had to shoot a bear. Easiest hunting mission ever. Took about ten seconds. The banal irrigation one. Can these be classed as actual missions? Protect the convent from different sides. The Peggies didn't turn up on one of them lol but I guessed that was another bug. At least that was a mission.

The stuff you had to find - baseball cards, barrels etc. These mainly came at the end of the game for me because I did Holland Valley first. The hunting was worse compared to FC3 and FC4. Pretty much non existent in HV but at least it redeemed itself somewhat in the mountains. Notice the imbalance.

I'll no doubt play FC5 again some day and you never know, I might enjoy it more because I know what to expect. Presently I'd give it a 6.5/10. Like I said in my first post, there are good parts to it but overall it's messy and imbalanced in my opinion. I actually think Ubisoft realise this because New Dawn is far more tidier. You also got to remember I gave FC4 9/10 so I expected a similar quality game.

If you're on PC, have you tried the Resistance mod? It enhances the game with some tweaks, fixes and additions that improve the gameplay experience. May be useful, especially for replays.
