Hi. I’ve been playing with Tiandi a lot and it seems that even though he does not have a dodge bash in his move set, he can still dodge and then bash his opponent. Of course this won’t always consistently hit because some characters have fast recoveries.
Against heroes like BP and Lawbringer, Tiandi’s indirect dodge and then bash feels like:
- Lawbringer’s dodge shove (without the hyper armor of course)
- Conqueror’s dodge bash
- Warden’s dodge bash
Tiandi feels like one of the few heroes that can actually punish heroes like BP and Lawbringer, despite not having a real dodge bash. It all seems very character-based-situational. The fact that Tiandi’s bash isn’t initiated by a dodge means no dodge recovery, so Tiandi would be able to have a faster bash rate despite having a slow bash.
So does anybody know if this “dodge and then bash” is always confirmed after Tiandi dodges their opponent’s bash? Because it feels like it’s always confirmed for me.
It's not confirmed against heroes with a short recovery after a bash such as Lawbringer, BP, Warlord, etc or heroes with a follow up attack after a whiffed bash such as Valkyrie.
Heroes with a short recovery like Lawbringer and BP have enough time to dodge a Tiandi palm strike after they whiff a shove/bash. Heroes like Valk can simply attack Tiandi before he can palm strike.
