Why not use Pubg as a reference instead of COD?

I know neither game is alike with different game styles but why can’t Breakpoint be more like Pubg? Forget about the different modes look at Pubg game play. Lots of people call out and talk about COD but Pubg is more realistic between the two. Pubg is a good shooter and has some nice elements that this game could use.

A kar98 is a kar98, m4 is a m4, no colors, numbers, special features or magic properties. Guns get better by the attachments you put on. Sure some can be over powered but guns can be nerfed or buffed as needed.

They have back packs of different size which hold different amounts. So based on your pack is what you can carry. Could even have different types of packs, drone pack means you can use the drone, ballistic pack holds more explosives, etc.

Armor at different levels that deteriorate as it takes damage. He lets matter. Heavy armor protects better but has less mobility.

So why can’t Breakpoint be more like this? Pubg isn’t a game I like and am poor at it but it has mechanics that would add more realism to this game and the franchise.

I agree with everything you say, but Ghost Recon should be Ghost Recon without looking at other games. None of that PUBG, COD, Battlefield and Fortnite bull****...It should go back to Future Soldier

Therein lies the problem, UBI has watered down Ghost Recon so much so that a lot of people think Future Soldier is Ghost Recon while other believe that Wildlands is the real Ghost Recon and now Breakpoint, as the final Genderless Ghost Recon, is the real Ghost recon... confusing isn't it?

It is very or even extremely hard to argue the why they are not because well, ALL of them have shooting mechanics and the name Ghost Recon and Tom Clancy are in the title. Then again I thought that GRAW was not a Ghost Recon game either (being on PC and being a solo gamer) but more and more you have to accept to almost everyone has a right to feel like Ghost Recon is whatever you want because UBI has played with it like a red headed step fiddle.

All I know is that those other games, at some point, wanted to be Ghost Recon and now, we accept the fact that Ghost Recon should be like some of the other lesser tactical shooters... how low can the bar be set at I wonder.

Don’t ask those kinds of questions. I came to Wildlands because I got tired of the far cry formula. Wildlands for me was like Nirvana after dealing with Far Cry spawned mechanics and in far cry being hunted meant some guy with a bow would hit you in a helicopter at 3000 feet because that was the scripted next level. BP saying I was going to be hunted was going to hopefully be a whole other experience. In reality I was never hunted at all. It is the same Far Cry spawned mechanics. At least I can fight the wolves the Azrael sets on my tail though.

Fully expect to see someone ask for a Tiberium harvester and ridicule me for not using flash rush tactics at some point

Funny how I thought Breakpoint (after watching the first Trailers mind you and see we were NOT going to have teammates because surely, that is what we asked for when we said the teammates from Wildlands were trash) was going to be the real sequel to the Original Far Cry, sans, the mutants of course.

So far, my favorite 3 franchises have been taken to the mud by UBI (Ghost Recon, Far Cry & Rainbow Six) and I don't know whether I am the one that can't get on with the evolution times or if people now a days have lost all common sense as to what a decent game should be. I am befuddle when I hear that people claim this game is a Ghost Recon game if you wrap your head around the fact that you have to tolerate some bugs, glitches and the fact that one of the requirements is to create your own game within the game itself.

I think Crockford put it best, Ghost Recon Breakpoint should get some more inspiration from these games,

    Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon (2001)
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Desert Siege (2002)
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Island Thunder (2002)
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Jungle Storm (2004)
    Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 2 (2004)
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 2: Summit Strike (2005)
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (2006)
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 (2007)
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Predator (2010)
    Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon (2010)
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars (2011)
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier (2012)
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Commander (2012)
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Phantoms (2014)
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands (2017)

FS was a very poorly received title back then as well. Full of wall hack bs.

I still play PUBG its the closest game gunplay wise and hardcore wise we have to GR these days.

8v8 with decent maps with gameplay as good as Pubg and Ubisoft are on to a winner. Sadly it seems 8v8 pvp has long sailed with Ubi.

Why would you take anything after 2006?

GR and R6 were always my main online shooters. Now they are watered down gadget focussed crap. Reason why they are full of gadgets? So they can shoe horn in loads of operators for extra money or you would need to grind 50 hours just to unlock 2 of them lol. I dread to think how many operators Ubi have shoe horned into R6 now. Then of course adding all these operators brought huge problems and balancing issues. Such a shame to see these two series decimated.

Wow PUBG gunplay in the worst I've ever seen! Brought PUBG when I just simply couldn't bring myself to play breakpoint anymore, played PUBG for a few days it seemed really cheap, klunky and terrible gun play so bought the new COD haven't touched breakpoint or PUBG ever since.
