Hey
I purchased The Crew 2 from the Epic Games store and downloaded it. However, when I came to launch the game, it booted up the Ubisoft launcher and started downloading the game again. I already checked and the download the Epic launcher already took the required disk space, and I don't want to reallocate the space again for no reason. Did anyone else encounter this problem and how did you fix it?
I don't know why people start advising others when they don't know the answer. Why buy from epic? DEALS.. every store have their own deals and this month epic gave away games like breakpoint, Division 2(you can get standard+ edition for just 8$) etc for way less price than on Ubisoft store. So why NOT grab the deal.
Now to the redownload issue. what epic downloads is the offline installer for the game.. but the integration is mehhh… as when you launch the game from epic, uplay will prompt the user to download again. Uplay will provide the default download location and not where the offline installer is located, confusing user to redownload it.
Just change the location from Uplay to the installer folder of EPIC installer. It will verify the game without downloading much. It will still download some MBs but not GBs.
And for the best don't download from Epic store at all. After Uplay integration. Buy from epic if you are finding some good deal and then just download it from Uplay linked account.

Ok, I bought Rainbow Six Siege as I had the game on PS4 and really enjoyed it, but as I have made the swich to PC I have had to buy the game again and restart FROM SCRATCH. Meaning I have lost all the operators I bought. However, I downloaded the game from the free weekend that just passed, and spent 9 hours on the game already. I am level 35 from just 2 days. I had a blast playing so I thought, I'd buy the actual game as it was on sale. I bought the game and downloaded overnight on Epic Games, and after a long day at school I come home excited to play the game. However, there is an update and it says 6gb remaining. I go ok, and wait for the update is finished. I accidentally click out of the download and go back to resume the download of the update. Just to find that the entire update has started again meaning I have to wait 10hours (because my internet is trash) just to re-download the already existent files of the game. The full 74gb of RainbowSix are installed on Epic Games, SO WHY DO I HAVE TO REINSTALL THE ENTIRE THING AGAIN. It takes more space, more time, and it is overall useless. After this I am never buying from either services again, I just want to know how to fix this issue as I am sick and tired of everything messing up, and was incredibly eager to play this game. Where do I locate the files to move them from Uplay and where do I put them?
