There is not a single hero in For Honor with "complex controls". Once you get the universal basics down such as counter-GB, full block and parrying every hero in the game is a matter of pick up and play.
Compare that to pure fighting games like Tekken, Soul Cal or Mortal Kombat where each individual character has a moveslist comprised of over 60 moves and upwards of 30 different chains and combinations per hero.
I therefore left another game BlockNLoad( now she is dying), also played on complex characters, tried, and some idiot will come running and presses ONE button and in the top!
I don’t know what heroes you play for, but I play for the Highlander from the beginning, 36 REPs and it's still difficult, I recently began to study Glad, I discover something new every day. And still I lose to feeble-mindeds. Is that fair?
You confuse mechanical input with skill. HL keeps your fingers busier than most. That doesn't mean it takes more skill to play nor does it mean HL is anywhere close to being an example of a well designed hero.Originally Posted by NerfHitandVort Go to original post
If you want a valid example of your mindset we can look at Tekken's specific tech called "korean back dash." Which is essentially you backdashing. It has two methods that require a string of inputs. But it's just a simple back dash. It's not a skillful thing to do. Nor does it need to be that complex. There is no value to it being that way.
The only thing that's actually complex about HL is his various means of tech. Wether that has any depth to it or not is a different debate. But my point is HL isn't hard to learn/play. And just because HL requires you to input more buttons doesn't automatically mean he's a more skillful or well designed hero. You believing so is just an obvious tell of your lack of fundamental grasp on hero design and fighting game design as a whole.
I understand that there are broken heroes who are initially stronger such as Varden (everyone already understood that he was like a cheater),Hitokiry (look at my nickname),Vortiger.
By the way, on the topic, didn’t I get it? Maybe you need to make a choice not "three randomly selected from the pool" but of 6?
Warden only needs his back dodge bash removed.Originally Posted by NerfHitandVort Go to original post
Hito and Black Prior dont need a nerf, if you lose aginst them then you need to improve.
The game's engine probably couldn't handle if all maps would be available. This must be the single reason factionwar exists, I almost never hear anything positive about it.
On the matter of hero difficulty, if someone using the same 2-3 moves beats you, the problem is with the lack of your skill. Why should I use more than one move if it's enough? The losing parry is the one who has to adapt.
Btw, hl is very, very good against BP. You go to offensive stance, you easily kill hím because your moves ignore the general rules of combat, in which bp excels.
