This game broke my heart a little. Getting a new game is something I do very rarely, and Ghost Recon is always the top of my list for when the opportunity arises. I don't believe Breakpoint can ever be a Ghost Recon game, but as I said in the first OTT If Ubi just droped the GR and launched the game as "Breakpoint" it has a lot of potential. I hope Ubi is able to tap into that potential, but I'm not holding my breath.

You guys, however, are bringing that potential to light. Mil-Sims, Mechanics testing, Roleplays, Stories, Videos, Bar Jokes! You are all inspiring.

Thanks to that inspiration, I've been having a lot of fun in Breakpoint. With some inspiration from Steven, I had several good hours of fun playing "as a homesteader" last night. Tonight I got on, and figured I'd play the homesteader factions missions, as a homesteader! And it was perfect. Using the Scorpio Scout - Quiet, and no suppressor I carefully stalked my way through the missions. All except the Elite one.

This got me thinking; I could do the Outcast missions as an Outcast. And in both cases save the elites for "Nomad" to do. Essentially turning the faction missions into three separate character narratives.

    Nomad - Ghost(Assualt). "Crock" - Homsteader(Sharpshooter), and Ford - Outcast(Panther)

You say ‘You guys’ and I say ‘back at ya!’ This is the sort of stuff that can keep this game going.

I think the best part is how it has opened the path for people to try the PS5 exclusive Socom and forget about this mess.

Yeah, while this game has potential, there’s not much we can do... it’s all in Ubisoft’s hands to realize that potential. We’re just making the best of this sh1tty situation.

The dumb AI and OP super soldier player character, and highly repetitive faction missions make this game get boring super quick. We’re constantly trying new things to make it more challenging to try and make it interesting.

Best part of breakpoint was uninstalling it. I played last night on my buddies Xbox and it feels/plays worse then it did at launch IMO. Game was released early to compete with game like cod.

The way I like to play is with all HUD turned off, difficulty maxed out. My favorite things to do in game are to pick a site, start off at a near by campsite. I will then work my way to the site without detection. Either I will kill or avoid any patrols along the way. When I reach the obj, I'll scout it out. Determine where I want to infiltrate the base from, and what I can c4 inside or outside as a diversion. I'll spend 30 minutes to an hour just on getting the obj completed without any detection. Absolute favorite is to infiltrate a base, kill no one, either complete obj or steal contents of a centralized crate, and exfil back into the night.

Released with the aim of finishing it 2 or 3 years down the line.

This is the way I’d like to play too- the only people I end up actually wanting to kill are the civilians.

This is exactly how I’m playing one of my characters. A total stealth style with minimal or no casualties. Ideally you never know he was there.
