So basically with the new season coming and the new pass and stuff, why not add a bit of spice to that
further increasing the variety in which builds are made, and because we are following their model, having premium pass
will more often than not, grant some upgrade pieces on each level reward

As you saw in that really cursed and bad demonstration | blueprints will be earned through multiple sources, some even requiring quests.
Sources follow gamemodes, crates, premium/non-premium pass progression.
It'll will not replace normal gear, BUT lower their density when getting them like for example > 6 piece of armor | > 3 blueprints | 3 pieces of armor
Somewhat dispersing pieces and making them more common and on par with blueprints.
Effects/Gems
In the bad demonstration, you can see i have half the set completed, but wait, will i be able to equip it.
The answer is pretty easy, you will be able to wear these pieces once you got atleast 1 gemstone active.
Collecting gems can be rather hard and time consuming, having a 10% per match of breach won to drop a gem the same rarity as your gear.
On What - Dropping
As for now, if ubisoft will gently slide across this post and pick up some ideas, ONLY (shoulders, helmet and blade(of your weapon)) will be having this special socket feature.
The numbers i showed there are just to give you an idea of their strength and are completely subject to change if ubisoft adapts this system, but let's be honest they wont, it's so robust that it wont fit the game, but you know you can always prey.
