I am new to this game and selected the beginner setting and to explain everything to me and how things work and this game does an abysmal job of telling you how everything works and what you need to make things function and how the buildings are connected to one another.
I'm going to have to agree with OP here. I've gone through the campaign to the point where I'm getting workers and still don't know how to rotate a building, I mean, I looked into the controls list, found the keys, but it don't budge.
There's a lot of functions that I don't understand, but feel I probably should.
I literally got the game today, but am not a noob to this style of game.
I do agree there is a bit of a learning curve. I played Anno 1404 before and could not understand why I could never progress and kept losing money. Turns out the solution (in Anno 1404) was just to build a looooot of houses. After finishing that game Anno 1800 was pretty easy to pick up though.
But yeah, the game lacks explanation. You can watch let's play videos on youtube to help.
I never had problems with shortcuts not working. However, you do have to find out yourself which ones there are by looking in the options menu. I use the delete, move, pause production and rotate all the time.
Do you have the building in 'move mode'? You cannot rotate a building when it is put down on the map, but if you move it, you can rotate it ! while you are still moving !Originally Posted by DaemosDaen Go to original post
