    Boarding and repairing

Hey, just wanted to drop my opinion and want to know what you guys think of it.

I've recently rewatched several gameplay trailers/videos, because I'm just really hyped. But I've noticed some things that could be different in my opinion. One thing I noticed is how easy it looks to board another ship (especially when it's a AI ship). I personally think that should be more like a levelling battle. I think It would be much nicer and make the game more interesting if you could level up your crew and the amount of crew members, which you can recruit (AC Black flag style or something like that). That brings me to the point where many people already argued about. There was no sign of land gameplay (except for the trailer where the character begins in a secret hide-out cave), I also miss this part and hope there will be some sorta land gameplay. The other thing bothering me was the fact that you can easily repair your ship in battle. I'm afraid that the game will be too easy and not realistic by adding that feature. I personally think you should only be able to repair your ship if you're not in combat. So for example if you're on an island or main land or just the open sea. Basically if you're just not in a battle with another ship.
I was just curious what the community thinks about my opinions.

    no

i disagree i think its a great idea i mean think about it your literally fighting for you life. in real life back in the day your not gunna just let your ship sink your gunna be repairing it in battle so you dont die. i love the idea. makes battles longer and harder. not easier. i just cant wait for the game to come out already they said 2019 but theres about 10 days left in 2019 so i doubt that. im very dissapointed but still hoping game is not dead. please release beta soon at least. i hope they been working on it this whole time to and not just sitting on it. no news or anything from them ive become so worried. still counting the seconds till i see this game on shelves. anyway yeah like i said i disagree with you. just my opinion but i think its a valid one.

I do agree that you should be able to repair you ship during battle, but you can literally repair your ship from 5000 hp to 20.000 hp in 5 seconds. That is what I actually meant with ''too easy''. I think that you would make it more realistic, if the ship repairing thing would cost more time or maybe something like: how better your crew (level) how faster the repairs, with the idea in mind about levelling your crew.
I also hope for new information soon.

Hello, just before, I would like to say that I am French so it is possible that I made some mistakes in English. In my opinion, for repare you need good offcer who can repare the ship, on the 3 ships of the beta at E3 2018 : Royal Fortune, Jaeger and Black Horn, there was a man who can repare and it's the same for the collision. About the crew, i say the a idea who look like your idea, capture (on the captured ships) or recruit (in the taverns) mans, most the level of the mans are hight most the level of the collison is hight with this level other ship can't board our ship that if their level is the same or highter than our, and for reduce this level we need to damaged the enemie ship. But some ship with a hight level can't be board same if we damaged them because your level is too low. For example in Metal gear solid, you can capture the enemies for raise your level base and as in the game we can capture other ship that would be cool if we can take some sailors on the captured ships in our ship. And it was just gameplay so it's pretty sure that there have been several changes since 2018. in the last, if the game were abandoned, Ubisoft would have say long ago.
