I havnt played this game in quite a long time, but recently came back to it and decided to fully try out a character/class i havnt previously tried much of. i used to play centurion and now am trying out orochi. but using orochi ive been trying to get the hang of parries and im somewhat lost as to what is going on. i usually have 20-60 ping and never notice any lag whatsoever so i dont think its the servers. i should preface this with ive only been playing against bots since im rusty. so about 1/3 of my parry attempts fail, all from my own fault. then 1/3 work and it feels great. but then theres about a 1/3 of my parries that animate as if i land it, swords clash, we both hit then i get stunned and take damage as if i never reacted at all. normally id chalk it up to server issues but this is against bots with low ping, and the animations seem to be flat out wrong half the time. so im wondering, is something actually broken with the state of the game right now? or am i just doing something entirely wrong and not understanding some mechanics? (which has happened in the past so i wouldnt be surprised.) any help would be appreciated and any info on if im the only one experiencing, for lack of a better term, "ghost parries", where the buttons press, the animations play, then the result doesent seem to match the visual in almost all aspects.
