Hello.
I have the next issue, when i launch For Honor at some point game crashes (before it actually launches) and i get message that my GPU incompatible to minimal system requirements or there was an issue during initialization (it's written in Russian so translation might be not exact). There is also next line in message box - "Error: D3D11CreateDevice failed (DXGi_ERROR_UNSUPPORTED)". Shortly after i close mesaage box i receive next warning from Easy Anti-Cheat - "Untrusted system file (C:\Windows\System32\nvd3dumx.dll)".
I have GTX950 which is supposed to be enough, so i think it isn't a problem. Tried to update nvidia drivers twice (one time throughout NVidia GeForce Experience), but it didn't help. I also tried most of advises from this post by jackadision, advises 1, 5 and 6 didn't help, advise 4 doesn't relate to me because i don't own For Honor in Steam, advise 3 i wasn't allow to do (maybe you may help me with it), and advise 2 i'm not gonna do until last hope will be lost (i don't want to reupload 50+ GB and i don't believe this is an issue).
Hey, ReckonerIL!
Sorry to hear of your crashing issues! Thank you also for the steps that you have already tried. To start troubleshooting this issue, please first try switching the computers dedicated GPU:
- First, open the Nvidia Control Panel. One way to do that is right-clicking on an empty space on the desktop and choosing Nvidia Control Panel from the menu.
- Navigate to 3D Settings > Manage 3D Settings.
- Open the tab Program Settings and choose the game from the dropdown menu.
- Next, select the preferred graphics processor for this program from the second dropdown. Your Nvidia GPU should show as High-performance Nvidia processor.
Finally, save your changes. Your game should now run with the dedicated Nvidia GPU.
If the issue continues, please Create a Support Ticket and include your system files.
Feel free to reply back here with the case number.
Thank you.
