One of the nice things about Wildlands was the tier mode - Right now I'm Tier 19 about halfway to 18. I enjoy the difficulty ramp and secondary power mechanic of being able to pump up a gun's damage with resources which keeps them relevant.
Breakpoint is a bit more of a target-rich environment than Wildlands was, at least for XP gain. I think the Tier mode would work well here. Anyone heard if there are such plans?
Isn't that the same as the tiered loot and enemies in Breakpoint? I mean, it's not designed exactly the same way but the result is the same.Originally Posted by Scruffpuff Go to original post
Same. This was kind of my point. I'm already GS 252 (like it matters), I have all my favorite gear equipped, modded, and with the stats I like, and there's literally no reason to play. Wildlands I can still grind tiers, it's mostly pointless but it's something, and along the way I can earn the crates with the random garbage in them. Not totally great but again, it's not nothing either. Breakpoint has no reason to engage once you're at this point. Except when the average GS rises all my stuff will become trash instantly and I start all over. All the fun of looter-shooters, but in the wrong genre and built on the wrong foundation!Originally Posted by ST7A Bad Karma Go to original post
(Also love the fact that the word Breakpoint is not recognized by the spell checker on the Ubisoft Breakpoint forum.)
Since Wildlands is actually tactical and actually supports the idea of trying different ways to complete missions etc there's replayability. In BP it's just "shoot a guy, wait for everyone in the base to run at you and kill them as they come out, then loot." Which makes it utterly pointless to replay any missions or even just wander around like you can in Wildlands.Originally Posted by Scruffpuff Go to original post
