    Shutting down pc

Just got the game and am having heaps of fun but it has now started to shut my pc down after a random number of minutes. No warnings and no errors. Nothing is over heating and it seems to be the only game that is doing it.

    i7 4790. 16gb ram. 1060 6gb. 625 watt psu. 441.66 gpu drivers

I am going nuts because of this. As i am writing this i haven't been able to play more than 5 min tonight. I tried rolling back my gpu drivers, i tried everyone back to 390.77.

Turned the graphics settings down but that seemed to make it happen more often,

I have searched google and tried everything that came up but nothing has seemed to work. If anyone can help me i am all ears and would be very great full as i love this game.

My experience is except in very rare occasions, a system turning off is hardware, and a system crash...blue screen, hang, etc... is software. Now, you say it isn't your hardware, but my experience is yeah, it is, and even though this is the only game, that simply means that it is the only game stressing that component in that way for now, and generally you will see it in other applications as it gets worse.

Could you be one of the extremely rare cases of system shutdown being software...yeah, but I wouldn't bet on it, as it isn't supposed to be that way by design and programming.

Any info in the [url=https://www.howtogeek.com/123646/htg-explains-what-the-windows-event-viewer-is-and-how-you-can-use-it/]Windows Event Log[/url[] at that time? Probably in the SYSTEM log.

    Bsod?

Look up how to enable Small kernel dump in Windows. Then launch the game. When it shuts down again on you get back into Windows and check the C:\windows\minidump folder. If there is something in there you can get a free program like https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html to see what is causing it. It will say what dll is causing it. If it is ntoskrnl that is causing it then its something with Windows. You can try and launch a command prompt as admin and type in sfc /scannow. It will tell you once it is finished what is wrong or if nothing is wrong. If it is a driver that is causing the issue that will be stated in the crash report.

Need to find out if it's a BSOD.
