My first time in occupied DZ I was pillaged...

By someone with a violent username wearing a skeleton mask.

And I thought to myself then and there... why the **** would I ever again, in my life, spend free time to have a stranger get what I worked for?

And for what? Oooh, ahhh, booo, hooo, weee, yayyyy!!! OMFG UBISOFT A GEAR MOD WITH 1.5% CRIT CHANCE OMFG MEERY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

    Welcome to the DZ.

Your dramatic use of words perfectly describes how the DZ was advertised from the get go, so why expect anything else? After all you’re in a PvP area and don’t have a big warning sign over your head saying you only had a 1.5 CHC gear mod in your sack so don’t kill me.

The loots not yours until you successfully extract it. It’s how it works.

Sounds quite harsh but it’s reality.

Ubisoft have tried to drill into people's heads what the DZ is about especially if they didn't play DIvision 1. Heck even the DZ intro mission has a long dialogue about what goes on in there, yet people still complain lol

Yeah I hate to sound like a jerk, but that’s what the DZ has always been, an area with few (if any) rules where anything can, and does happen.

I remember the first time I got shot in the back by a group in the TD1 DZ, just outside of “Cleaner Town.” I was trying to shoot my way through a couple of Cleaner heavies and wasn’t paying attention to what was going on behind me. Dropping me must have been like taking candy from a baby.

And I got pissed too. Ran back in from the checkpoint hoping I could at least take one of them out, but nah, I got curb stomped. I went back in a few times over the next few months. Sometimes I’d get my extractions out, sometimes I got jumped. It was probably 50-50. I got tired of it though and by the time 1.8 rolled around I was just going in to get Div Tech and kill things for the weekly cache assignment.

Ultimately I decided that it wasn’t for me, so when TD2 came out I just decided that I wasn’t going in because it wasn’t fun for me, but I know that some folks enjoy it. More power to them. If I were to change my mind and give it a go, it would definitely only be in a group.

You are the same person who started another thread about how futile the game is, farming for loot in missions only to make a better build to farm loot faster in missions.
Now you tried a different way to get loot from DZ and didn't like that either.
    No pleasing some people...

Yesterday I had a very good day in the DZ,. Hooked up with two guys I never seen before in a group did a bunch of Landmarks, ran into two rogues that I know their Screen names and we basically made them go away since we weren't "easy pickings", which in my experience is what most, not all, but most, rogues look for. Very satisfying to kill a rogue coming straight at you because they think they are meta and shredding them. Left the DZ with over 30 pieces which in the end were S**t.

Your problem is that you don't understand that the Dark Zone is not for PVE. It is a form of fast farmeo but PVP. They can't wait to search without dying or face someone to defend your booty. The main purpose of the DZ is to fight against other players and talk to them, and when there are no people on the server you can choose to stay and make emblematic places or change servers to look for a fight. if your constructions are to kill NPCs with all due respect do not enter the DZ

Don't go in occupied unless you have friends and all are built well.

I only enjoy the DZ with friends, then it can be really fun and you can actually kick some booty. I'm sure there are some that enjoy rolling solo with whatever meta build so they can sneak around ganking people, but that's not interesting to me, I like those team fights.

My personal favorite is when you are triangulating a terminal to find the thieves den vendor, no gear on you to steal, and some worm comes up and shoots you in the back, clearly knowing you're just there to find the vendor. That's the ONLY action in DZ that pisses me off, because it accomplishs nothing other than being a deliberate ahole for no reaaon. The rest of the toxic behavior I expect.
