I don't think Breakpoint is fixable. Wildlands had issues early on and became a great game over the course of a year because it had a solid foundation. Breakpoint's foundation is a train wreck. I don't think it's going to be salvageable. Someone making decisions behind the scenes has no idea what Ghost Recon is, what players want, etc.
So just remaster GRAW2 and let me play it in HDR on my PS4 Pro. And then I won't need to touch Breakpoint ever again.
I think what they need to do is something along the lines of what COD did with Modern Warfare. Don't do a remaster but more of a revisit. Start the whole thing from the foundation of the game use new textures and graphics and updated mechanics like Gunsmith (Future Soldier Gunsmith - not whatever this Inbred Disaster is)
Better example is Resident Evil 2.Originally Posted by ItsCouchPotato Go to original post
Excellent graphics and everything same as the original only much better.
MW is slso excellent I only hate killstreaks.
If Activision wanted they could have had quite hardcore tactical shooter mod within the game which siege or GR can not compete with
The Idea sounds interesting, although wouldn't be going backward? In the sense that open world offers a certain tactical flexibility, as far as I can remember GRAW was corridor and scripted base wasn't it? In my opinion it would be a pity to go back to that.
I really like the idea to a certain degree un terms of gameplay. I stopped playing COD -MW, 1, 2 and 3, because for me story got to an end- because it was too restrictive and scripted. GRW opened the possibility to do your assigned mission in the way you wanted.
I'm also against a GRBP2 since I fond it to be[...] (fill in the blank). I don't like the narrative, the gear score, the weapon qualities, the drones and the science fiction elements that doesn't had their place in the franchise to begin with.
All this to say, yes a GRAW remastered may be an opportunity to show the difference between the spirit of the franchise and what is contained in GRBP. It could be the occasion for younger players that haven't the possibility to play that instatement to understand why some of us are rather unsatified and to some extend bittered by GRBP
I keep finding the fact that an Open World sistem would fit very well with Ghost recon. But it need to be really innovative and base on realism. Since Ghost recon has never been thinked for long development timeframes, they always **** up the good ideas.
Breakpoint idea was really awesome, but they missed a lot of possibility with the game idea.
For example, an High command AI that call and direct units in the open world, and in real time. Or a Regional alert sistem, that change and shape the world based on the chaos you created on that region. Something that start putting more units in that region, and when the alert raise, more checkpoints, more roadblocks, Much more patrols, ever in the wild, more defended positions. A realistical military wolds, totally simulated.
I would like so much to see a managing game about a infantry company in a region.
There are plenty of ideas that could fit well. I'd love to see a ghost recon with a Deep story, but expecially with a very realistic simulation of the enviroment, and a realistic gameplay.
