No need to apologize, but I was merely trying to reassure you, we don't like to slide on our rear😁Originally Posted by BooMShakalaQ Go to original post
Yeah. Thats why I was asking. He's a good player.Originally Posted by BooMShakalaQ Go to original post
There's not too much I'd keep in all honesty but here a re a few things I like about the game and that could be kept and most certainly improved upon (from a PvE perspective):
- Exploration mode (has to be the way forward when gathering intel and locating objectives from now on)
- Survival aspects - sliding and hurting oneself (needs major improvement), stamina (depletion and restoration), injuries (again needs major improvement) - all NOT including the far cry collecting of plants and animal skins
- dive animation and actually I quite like the current animations tbh - need a little tweaking regarding momentum but not too bad
- Explosion sounds
- Small part of enemy AI that is the searching for you until visual detection and not instantly knowing where you are - all other AI needs a major overhaul (intelligence wise that is)
- Location (world) is stunning and worth a keep for sure
Everything else can jog on particularly GS, looting and always online.
In a certain way I can understand why they took the decision to make up an island : to avoid legal issues. For GRW they got problem for depicting Bolivia as a weak/failed State and more than probably wanted to avoid that.Originally Posted by TreFacTor Go to original post
Real world locationq suppose certain problems. I've seen many around here wanting to go in Afghanistan. From a narrative point of view it could be rich and interesting, but how the legal government that tries at his best to keep order in a country that has been at war since 1976 (if not more) will take the fact that you depict their country as unstable, failed or corrupted? No State like that. Appearing weak on thé international scene, even in a video game is perceived badly.
I taught a class about Afghanistan (Bone_Frog gaved me a real hand with the preparation of the said course, special thanks to him). Believe me it's a really complicated country. Other places around the world could be suitable, but the problem is the same: legal issues made by gouvernements.
I sincerely don't what other work around could be used... I was interested by the story line of the new COD, they made up a country that oddly ressemble to Syria and added certain elements to the conflict. It makes it believable and gives it a certain degree of credibility.
I guess that's a few reasons why they decided to go for an made up Island.
Well that's definitely not me, I discovered online gaming in 2012-2013 (spent a bit more than 2 decades without it)Originally Posted by BooMShakalaQ Go to original post
Thank you for your input, it's greatly appreciated, I and sincerely share your point about GS, looying and the always requirement. Thinking about it, 15 years ago I couldn't even but the game...Originally Posted by martbloke88 Go to original post
Most everything can be salvaged from this game. The primary issues are just polish.
Animations: When and how they're activated
Graphics: touch ups especially night sky, night vision, render distance
Gunplay: crunch better damage numbers for pve
Weapons: authenticity, audio, customization need max attention
Game audio: fire that team. Only a few things work and sound great. Majority of others fail, garble, inaccurate, mistimed, spike, etc, you name it.
Cosmetics: prioritize authentic equipment, secondary equipment presence, better deals or don't cut out pre-existing equipment to sell back.
Bugs/glitches: get on it like your job is on the line
