SOMM is the most requested nerf from people who don’t bring counters for good charge units. You can call any card a crutch if you don’t care to bring a counter (and a very generic counter at that).
He’s good but entirely manageable, and for sure doesn’t require any nerf.
The factual data also proves that adventure is the LEAST used theme in legendary. Sci is top. So I have no idea what you’re going on about at this point.
yea and adventure should be able to blast the current sci-fi spam meta away... but it doesn't, SOMM should be usable against this lot... it isn't... swordsman should also.. but its easy to cockblock and enforcer 6 nullified both these cards...
but yea SOMM is OP while a 2 cost rare that nullifies an entire theme is not... so yea... I faced a somm with my lower cost stremlined event ranged behind zen deck, poca randy slapped somm away before he even did anything..
You guys repeat the same crap. Doesnt change the fact that every one is playing stan of many moons including the top playing in F2PWHALES and lower. 4 of 5 matching all people trying to run Stan of many moons. If adventure was so week than why is every one playing it. Its all SOMMs and Santa. You just make up any thing want but doesnt change the fact hes the most unbalanced card in game. If he was so high cost then why is every one playing him. Its only Scottold and camelchaser defending it. If you dont have a removal option in your deck, have fun playing lower ranks. Since higher ranks is only about removing legendaries. Mecha timmy? If you dont remove him, you get screwed. Gwc? You just wait for somm to arrive, wait 1 second more so santa wastes his charge, and boom, snipe somm before he can wipe the field, leaves the opponent with a slow 5 unit tank that you can take down very very easy. Believe me, i tried this combo in 7500 elo and up, it simply is way too much energy cost to be working.
Ummm... they play youth pastor craig first... and then they play Santa, which you now can’t remove, followed by SOMM a few seconds later, who you cant power bind either? What does that have to do with how we’re spending energy?
And also, just seeing that YPC and Santa play, you KNOW SOMM is coming and, depending on what cards you have in your hand, you basically can’t play **** because either your spells are inactive or you don’t want to play a card that will be fed to SOMM - meaning you sit there and waste your energy at 10 waiting for SOMM to cross the midline and try to swarm him. And good luck with that if Santa is in front of him.
Stop being so tone deaf and recognize that so many people have complained about him, meaning there is an issue with him.
To the person who said Santa is the problem and not SOMM, why has no one complained about Santa played with any other card? No one has ever complained about Santa and GWC, Santa and canadian knight ike, Santa and human kite, but dozens have complained about Santa and SOMM. Santa is barely even played without SOMM. If I see Santa, I know SOMM is coming, and Im extremely surprised when they play two other themes besides adventure with him. It’s extremely predictable and boring.
And the other guy who said you NEED a removal in legendary, THATS MY POINT. I actually DON’T need a removal in legendary. I can deal with MBP, GWC, Mecha with my cards alone and no removal no problem. It’s ONLY SOMM that FORCES me to waste a spot in my deck for a removal or power bind THAT I DONT WANT TO PLAY to deal with just ONE CARD.
Spare me the ways on how to deal with SOMM. It’s not rocket science. There’s about 10 to get rid of him before he nukes your push (and even half of that because you can only play 2 themes). And no, no card should be “a common card that’s in every deck.” And if there are less than 10 cards to deal with him (out of 137), is he REALLY easy to counter? The answer, if you don’t have those specific handful of cards in your deck, is an emphatic NO.
Also, gotta love how a card that
1. Is a tanky archer
2. Causes NK chip damage
3. Has the potential to cause 416+ damage to more than one unit (569 at level 4)
Is considered trash. The only reason Incan is not played anymore and is considered “trash” is because people relied on him so heavily during his buff, and now that he is not a guaranteed game-winner anymore, they don’t consider him worth it since he doesnt guarantee them a win anymore.
With Mystic it's not all too difficult to get 12 energy. Even a level 1 staff boots your energry gain by 45%. I'm also sure I don't have to tell you that Santa hits like a truck and doesn't die in two hits. Just wait for your SOMM to come out and wipe the board. Then SOMM walks halfway the board and you got another charge. All those ''many'' counters mentioned above all negated by Yougthpaster.
