In all your responses, you just ignore that Santa has a charge time and that the adventure player has to spend energy to do things. It also assumes that you fumble all your responses (misplaying PB too late for example). Let’s start with the basic assumption that both players are competent.

So again, I ask you. Have you actually tried the combo yourself? The way you write it (and dismiss all the well proven responses I’ve shared) make it seem like you see it as an unbeatable play. You don’t always lose energy and it isn’t in any way unbeatable. Have you played it? It doesn’t seem so to me.

    *edit*
Wait a sec, did you also write that no tank can go 1v1 with Santa. No man, that’s just not right. Again let’s assume equal levels (each coming to play with lv4 legendaries). GWC has over 3000 HP and SER has over 2k I believe. They’ll take a hit from SOMM and buy plenty of time tanking Santa while you respond. This tells me again that your responses are theoretical.
Ok, so the top 1000 players play around 26% adv (probably 8000+ at the moment). I wouldn't call that the minority by the way. While Anti dranker's 74% data was from the bottom legenday areas

I did take into account the charge time. I'm sure you are aware that everyone places cards behind the new kid, trying to slow push. That's why your enforcer counter also isn't that great.to deal with it. I have tryed this 'combo', even though my SOMM is only lvl 2 and can't wipe, it is VERY easy to pull this off when you play adv/myst.

SER might indeed be able to compete with Santa, I saw him as a fighter unitas you said "throw out a tank". However SER is also slow and quite often trails behind or gets blocked by his vacuums. I think you oversee oversee the fact that if you can't deal with a Santa or SMMO it is a whipe when he comes out. About 12sec later another one. And if your Santa is still up by then a 3rd wipe soon after.

26% is by basic definition the minority, and yes a tank can handle a charge so you can mount your counterattack. People do it all the time. It doesn’t wipe tanks (or tank-like fighters) like GWC as well which you’re ignoring. Every theme has one at least.

2nd charge is also slower, so no, it’s not 12 seconds later. And again, you’re setting up a case where time and energy are passing and you’re doing nothing. If you don’t want to even consider or use counters, then there’s not much more to be said.

I see now why you never brought up stats before. So not even 7% plays Super heroes. I'll take it that's the majority then? You really read what you want to read hey.

Have you even tried this bs? Play a Santa behind your NK. Santa just needs to walk past your NK and he has a full charge. Not even enforcer would reach there IF you even want to put him at the mid line. Not to mention a tank or high hp warrior would even touch Santa before he has his charge. So then SOMM comes out with an instant wipe. While Santa is even blocking and slowing down SOMM movement ( while also recharging for the next wipe). Meanwhile your Santa is even untouched. You can indeed throw a tank out just to waste some energy but then what? 2th wipe will kiill anything coming out after. Not to mention when Santa is charged again. Go try it and see how quick Santa charges!

If you got no spells to instantly remove SOMM you can't do ****. Last time I say it because this getting so repetative. Anyway i'm done with you sir. You are bending your words way to often and it's annoying the **** out of me.From all the counters you mentioned above only your first point actually work.

Even with my level 2 SOMM, it is an extremely powerful combo with Santa. Even if Santa is combusted, I combo him with Pope Timmy and the only things that will take out my SOMM when he comes out is LB or power bind. The only things. Often times I put Santa out early making the opponent think my next card will be SOMM so he gets eaten through quickly at a huge expenditure of energy on the opponent, just to laugh once the Pope comes through. Then I get SOMM out. Then I get Sharon out. Yes that is more than 10 energy but I don't intend on throwing out every card at once. I go nice and slow. Every time this combo comes through it's 100% over. I have never had an opponent try to defend after that, unless they are 3+ levels higher with level 4 legendaries and 5 epics they can whip out no problem. But that is just because my SOMM is only 2.

People do this combo on me. And frequently add in YPC just for good measure, to make your defense completely impossible. Ok... not impossible, but improbable. Meanwhile while the cards are raining down and completely impossible to defend against, energy can be built right back up on your side while you keep healing with Sharon and nuking with SOMM.

Camel it does not always come down to idiots throwing out SOMM with no cards on the board, or the super predictable Santa, followed immediately by SOMM who just instantly smite no matter what's on the board. Players are actually smart and using this ability to their complete advantage, only truly being halted by power bind (which if the opponent has purify is nullified anyway) or prevented by putting YPC first.

There are no other cards that I know that give you this comparable of an advantage via Santa. No other power comes even slightly close to nuking the entire board. And BTW my lightning can not even take out a SOMM level 4, I have to hard remove it every time constantly at an energy disadvantage. And I have to take him out. Often when he's played, there are multiple other cards played I have to put cards out to defend my bar against.

Take powerbind out of your deck and let me know how easily you fair against all the SOMM strategies out there. I am quite sure you won't, because that is your primary counter I am 99% sure.

Well, if you can’t make the proven counters work, then it’s more about your play than about the cards I’m afraid. They’re used every day, both by and against me.

And read what I want to read? Come on, let’s not get all bent out of shape. We’re talking about the main themes here, obviously super heroes is still emerging. You keep trying to say that adventure is the majority of decks (like over 70%) and I’m saying no, the data shows 26% which is the minority. You’re the one trying to bend words to make some sort of argument here out of nothing. It’s not the most common deck by a long shot. Simple as that.

The problem there is incorrect countering. Why is anyone wasting a removal on Santa? That’s exactly what your opponent wants you to do, waste the removal on the big fat guy so they can play SOMM with impunity. Do exactly what I wrote in my counters list and let Santa be, then take out SOMM. Now they have a fat waste of 5 energy marching up the field alone.

And I know people are not idiots, and I also know the combo can work. I’m not trying to argue it’s useless, I’m arguing that it’s not godlike and worthy of, as the original poster wrote, being “removed from the game”. That’s sad whining. I also don’t think it needs a nerf. It’s beatable just like many other good plays out there. Not all problems need to be solved by destroying perfectly good cards.

It also sounds like you need to level up your bolt if you want to play at high rank. There’s sadly no place for a lv5 bolt when you’re dealing with lv4 legendary opponents. That’s not the card’s fault, it’s basic scaling. Get that baby to lv6 if you want to play with the big boys! Your 99% confidence rides on underleveled cards. Now I’m playing with fan/sh and can also deal with him. No powerbind here...

Not in bottom legendary. I'm IN bottom legendary, and I only occasionally run into this combo. Bottom legendary is all about the Sci-Fi, usually with Fantasy, sometimes Mystical, paired with it.

I don't know why Scott Cural and Camel Chasers spend their time attacking people on three different threads. A damage reduction to Stan of many moons does not hurt Adventure it makes it more even with the other things everyone was okay when they were attacking sci-fi and fantasy but they have a huge problem when you bring up how Stan is a huge problem. Hes way to Over Powered like Ican Craig was and its time he was fixed

Yes you read what you want to read. You actually lie and spread mis information, even from the little data you provide, just to help your cause. I have based my argument on what Anti-Deranker posted here. All you provide is a small summary of the top 1000 players and a link that does not even work....

Besides that. About your 'counter' with playing a tank to soak up the SOMM damage or your enforcer idea. All nice in theory but it doesn't work when Santa gets played BEHIND the NK. He simple gets a full charge when walking by the NK. So it SOMM would be the follow up, bye bye enforcer!

Typical, call proven 3rd party data that tells a story you don’t agree with lies. Might as well just start shouting “fake news” while you’re at it. It’s direct from the source and shows a clear picture.

By the way, if you bothered to even try the link is working. The site was only down for one day.

And if you can figure out how to work a tank, I’m afraid the whole world will look like a nerf opportunity. GWC4, SER4 and awesome-o5 are solid counterplays when you don’t have a removal at hand.
