They cut his beam to the point where he very rarely hits more than 2 units, and then ALSO devastated his damage so low that he doesn’t even take out 2 cost sci-fi rare cards as a lv4 legendary. I couldn’t think of a much better way for them to effectively remove him from competitive play altogether. Agreed on SOMM though, he’s one of the few tools left in the adventure toolbox. Arrowstorm is a big card now that swarm and pew pew meta is so big, but without him there wouldn’t be enough top cards to even bother with the theme at all. But even with him being useful, he’s very very simply countered and just about every deck packs at least one way to take him down reliably. If your opponent gets a charge off, it usually means you screwed up.
I think the entire Adventure deck needs a rework, it's too unbalanced.
There a few cards too strong like Somm, Incan, Pocahontas and Lightinbolt... Then there are only useless cards too weak. Why? Finally Sharon is strong, but not tok strong and the new card Muroh seems to be very good, but the other cards needs to be playable and must be stronger. Then, Somm needs a nerf because is too strong and clean all the field.
The combo with Santa is too easy and too devastating.

You either nerf santa's charge or the damage of SMM. Maybe reduce like you did with mecha timmy, mecha before the nerf had a total area of control, now just a certain area. So, reduce drastically the damage of SMM or the charge of santa. I think the most suitable solution here is the nerf of SMM because you still have the mr hanckey effect and the protection of Clyde juvenile pastor.

I love how people say that “learn how to deal with SOMM like we all do” or he is “very easy to deal with” like it’s rocket science. We all know how to deal with him. There are removals and power bind. THAT’S IT. He’s NOT easy to deal with UNLESS you use one of only 10 cards in the game in your deck. Oh and you can use only 2 themes. So there are only 5 possibilities in every deck you make to deal with that little *****.
Newsflash: if a card is only dealt with by less than 10% of all card possibilities, it is NOT easy to deal with. I don’t want a to waste a spot in my deck for a frickin power bind or lightning to deal with JUST ONE CARD that nukes the whole frickin board unless I kill it immediately.
They’ve made Mecha’s charge an area of effect. Cool.
