Funny I thought Hugos joke was neither positive or negative,it simply was a comment on the feeling within the long time GR playing community on what was promised to be a good game.So I fail to understand the supposed reasoning behind Hugos dismissalNow I completely agree with Z-e-u-S1 as I also paid £92.99 for preordering the ultimate edition and feel the same about what we actually got.The updates mention again the ammo disappearing when you enter a bivouac ,never mind mentioning it and another point when are the player stats getting unscrewed as my stats are still frelled.
Ah so you wanted the game to fail, got it. That sucks man. Not too many AAA Mil-Sims in the world for a reason, really only ARMA 3 and even that's arguably not AAA.Originally Posted by Grundged Go to original post
Weird how only 33% of people wanted it removed then if that's what killed it..You guys are saying it so matter of factly it should've atleast been 70%!Originally Posted by akaWonderBred Go to original post
I quit Wildlands in 20 hours for the exact opposite, just had nothing to really play for, no real rewarding gameplay. Just kind've bland Mercenaries esque gameplay that didn't feel very rewarding at all, since atleast Mercenaries made up for it by going over the top destruction and silliness, where GRW's base game was just, repetition at it's finest with no real story to play for outside of still pictures with narration over it, which is a super lazy way for story to be done.
Actually, it's the RPG looter-shooter, lack of content gameplay that you love that made Breakpoint a commercial failure. This game is failing.Originally Posted by OB.MikeHeel Go to original post
Umm...you didn't even scratch the surface of Wildlands, it's missions, or story. You can't even comment on the 'lack of content' if you didn't even play a quarter of it. But hey, you keep thinking grinding for magical stat numbers is some how 'engaging.' Grinding for MMO tiered loot gear scores is not content, it's tedious repetition with no purpose.Originally Posted by OB.MikeHeel Go to original post
And AFAIK, they still have not selected anyone from North America, after several months, even though we are clearly their biggest market. UK and Spain had their Delta Force members chosen, before Gamescom, in August, because several members were sent there, as official Delta Force representatives..
So name one Triple A Mil-Sim. CoD is NOT a Mil-Sim, it's far too arcadey. Battlefield had Mil-Sim features but is also NOT a Mil-Sim and has veered very off course from that over the years. I know Wildlands missions, and I watched an entire video on it's story of the DLC's since I never played those. It wasn't what you're pretending it was, but that's okay. Some people LOVE simplistic games that they can shut their mind off on and go shoot stuff that's a okay. No one's telling you that's bad. You do you my friend. It's just not for me and a lot of others, hence why Wildlands activity dropped so fast after such strong sales and why they felt the need to develop a PVP system from scratch to try and bring people BACK to the game.Originally Posted by Kangamangus556 Go to original post
No one's pretending that purely looting is 'content'. It's just a reward for continuing to DO the game's actual end game content. Which is PVP and Raiding and when Act 2 drops and we get the island to the east accessible to us, we'll play through the story of Act 2 in the open world then once we've finished up? We go back to the end game which is PVP and Raiding. THAT is content in the game that wouldn't exist without loot for the raid in particular. The current setup for PVP needs widespread changes, without a ranked system it needs more reward behind it, since Raiding clearly gives FAR more cosmetics aswell as gear score benefits and that isn't fair, but here's to hoping that gets addressed in the future.
It seems a large part of the community wanted a modern, tactical military shooter.Originally Posted by OB.MikeHeel Go to original post
Instead we got the B-movie Sci-fi, Lil Wayne sponsoered, bugridden lootershooter overmonetized dumpsterfire of a game.
But hey, if your expectations on this franchise, and a AAA game producer are met by this blatant attempt to destroy the franchise, then good for you.
I'm just saying that some of us was expecting what was marketed to us back in May.
