    Delta Company Update

    Hi, Ghosts.

We’d like to address and clarify certain discussions that have been happening on our forums this week about Delta Company, and to explain further Ubisoft’s vision with our Community Programs.

First of all, we build Community Programs to establish a closer relationship with you, our community. We want to understand our community better, and to support you with all you do to express your passion for our games. This is why we invite community members from all backgrounds to join our Community Programs, from cosplayers to conversation-drivers to content creators, from countries all across the world.

By joining a Community Program, you gain access to a more direct and open dialogue with our Studios and Development teams. You see the inner-workings of our Studio and are privy to behind-the-scenes information, via updates, workshops and playtests. Ubisoft places great trust in these members, becoming not only an Ambassador of our community but also of our Studio. In turn, our Ambassadors are held to a high standard of communication.

We know feedback as a Community Ambassador has been a topic of discussion as of late, so we would like to address certain points:

    1. First of all, feedback via Community Ambassadors is complementary to the feedback we gather directly from our community. We have teams and processes dedicated to listening and gathering feedback from all communities, in all languages, across the world.

With Community Ambassadors, we are able to gather more insights into topics we see from our reports, and of course, their early access to content enables us to get a first feeling of community reception.

It is thanks to your constant feedback online and participation in activities such as our Community Survey, that we have been able to take steps towards improving your Ghost Recon experience.

    2. We welcome all feedback, it is the only way we are able to fully understand how our community is feeling. We only ask that feedback is presented constructively.

    3. Feedback is one pillar of being a Community Ambassador. But additionally, these programs were designed with the objective of supporting our community with how they express themselves in regard to our games.

This is why Delta Company was built around five Detachments:
    • Special Activities: for artists, writers and cosplayers
    • Company Comms: for discussion-drivers
    • Mission Intel: for content creators
    • Team Operations: for fansite admins
    • Tactical Assault: for PVP tournament participants and organizers

We will fuel these different Detachments with Q&A’s, art assets, early-access for capture and organizational assistance, to support our members’ passion and to accompany them as they grow as Ambassadors in our communities.

With Community Programs such as Delta Company, we are bringing together members of our community to establish a closer relationship with our Studio, and where they can establish a closer relationship with each other too.

In regard to becoming a member of Delta Company, if you have not yet heard back from us it does not mean that you may not in the future. We are still growing and building Delta Company with our first members and will continue to do so as time goes on.

We hope this clarifies some points and we plan to share more Delta Company updates in the near future so that you can all see what we are up to with our Delta Ghosts.

Additionally, we thank you for your continued feedback and support.

    Thank you for reading,
    The Community Team

So in reality a free marketing and promotion tool for Ubisoft?

If you want feedback, check the forums once in a while.

It'd be bad for them to check the forums sadly, it got overrun with people that basically chase anyone with a differing opinion away by calling them a 'troll', 'child' etc. You can't listen to an echo-chamber like that.

Yes...ignore the community, Ubisoft. Because it's worked great for Breakpoint thus far...

I don't think the community had anything to do with them deciding to launch the game with tons and tons of game breaking and major bugs in general, two weeks prior to Call of Duty. They know what they did and how they ****ed up their own sales. It has nothing to do with any portion of any community.

You must not have talked to any of the people here who were giving the same negative feedback about the MMO mechanics since the betas and OTT. They were ignored, and Ubisoft has called Breakpoint a commercial failure.

It's not the RPG mechanics that made the game sell bad, it was the mass amount of bugs in the game that killed it. Stop trying to force an agenda, please and thank you!

Sure pal, it wasn't the drastic change in the landscape of what is a Ghost Recon game, that made the game sell poorly within the Ghost Recon community, no doubt bugs can be serious issue, but bad game design and the unnecessary inclusion of mechanics that don't belong in a Tactical game will hurt a lot more.

^This so much. The MMO raid grind Ubisoft has introduced into Breakpoint really has me feeling embarrassed for buying this game. I really was hoping for more of a milsim type game and absolutely did not want a kiddie MMO game. 🙁

Pre ordered breakpoint ultimate edition as I have been a fan of GR since the start and although GRW was different it was different in a good way........ GRB is different in a bad way. First i did the campaign if you want to call it that, in about three/four days then some PvP got bored of that very quickly because it's just not great competitive gameplay in my opinion it's just a bit lame compared to other titles........ from there I tried Co op with some friends which was fun but most games are with friends....... after that all there was to do was repetitive faction missions which were designed so terrible and chore like, it really put me off GRB after just 150/200 hours I was bored and frustrated with just how little content was in the base game and just how crappy the game was......... after that I needed to play something else so I brought the new COD MW and obviously they are completely different games but COD is actually good and fun to play, not a chore at all!........ anyway I came back to GRB when they released the raid just to see if there was finally some decent content and to see if ubisoft had made any decent changes....... IMO the raid is bollocks and has no place in GR title and ubisoft have not made any noticeable decent changes to the game which is really disappointing as I paid £93 for the **** but oh well back to COD till something else worthwhile comes up.
