Now, before I start, I must mention how I am a Current Rep 58 Hitokiri Main on PS4, so some issues I may present may not be present on PC. Please be mindful and open when reading this post.

This post is to mention some character issues that can either be buffed or nerfed. Some of these issues are not always character breaking. but are more personal implications through my relatively short time of playing (Since the Hitokiri event). My reps for characters are 10 for Hito and 4 for Nuxia, Rep 1 (nearly 2) for Valkyrie,

Nuxia:
Now, Nuxia is a character I never see, and I truly think her kit is quite diverse and good for a Mix-Up Intensive character. This, however, is not that effective considering her Hero Specific traits, her traps. Her traps are horrible to use, and most, if not all, good players can avoid the traps as they are way too slow to be used effectively. Now, while I do know that she is meant to play with the opponent, and to make them fall for the trap. The thing is, the trap is a bit slow. Most people currently at my current skill level throw out a heavy in anticipation to parry a heavy, but are seen catching a Nuxia as she uses her trap. One way I think that can significantly improve Nuxia is to improve her trap speed, and to try and speed up the traps, and to maybe catch enemies when they throw an attack, catching them before their attack makes contact.

The next thing Nuxia should have improved deflects, which can be blocked. Most, if not all deflect characters gets guaranteed hits when defecting (apart from Beserker). Now if this was sped up, naturally the damage would be lowered. Despite my complaints, her deflect is also good as you can change its guard before you throw the attack, so maybe it is not worth pointing out, but I must do it as I have had gripes with it in the past. A similar issue can be to her light attacks too, and most Nuxia result to light spamming as a lot of the kit is quite bad in the long run. So maybe to mitigate this, make her chain lights (not her opening right), slower so that it is easier to parry or to react to in the long run, and maybe speed up her finisher heavies slightly so that her specific trait of pulling the opponent can actually be useful in longer mix-ups, but again, can’t be used.

Hitokiri:
Yes, this may be contradictory considering Hitokiri is quite a hated "brainless" character, but the thing is, those who actually know and experiment with her kit can be quite scary, quite contrary to the light spamming Hitokiri. One thing I think Hitokiri needs is some form of opener, as her neutral lights and heavies are not that reliable to open up her main mix-up (we will get to mix ups later). Maybe something similar to the bash that Lawbringer has, and maybe it can do a small amount of damage, maybe 5 or 10, unless this bash is like a small kick. I do not think this bash can start the Mugen-Ryu as that would be a little insane and would definitely cause people to spam it. However, I also think that we need to have something more to the moveset of Hitokiri, as despite being called a Mix-Up Intensive character, her mix-ups can be very predictable because of the lack of moves they possess. Something more only needs to effect her Mugen-Ryu, as it is a ‘special state’, similar to the two forms of Highlander. I also think her sweep needs to speed up a little, as even though the benefit of a long cancel time, the sweep itself is quite underwhelming, only granting a light attack compared to the kick which can grant a free heavy. Maybe if she can get a sweep, she can get a free heavy or even a charged heavy. This may cause complications as the characters who benefit from people from the ground (Jormangandr, Centurian etc) can also benefit off of this, but their attacks can make the opponent stand up quickly, and thus can parry the charged heavy of the character.

Shinobi:
There is not much to really say, give this character the hyper armour back. While I do not play this character myself (only being level 5). But truly, the hyper armour on Shinobi (before removal) was never really an issue to me, as that hyper armour allowed the Shinobi to actually fight.

Valkyrie:
I think Valkyrie is pretty good in terms of her kit, but the issue is punishing her after a whiffed sweep. The only characters who can punish are those who have dodging attacks, if not caught by the sweep itself. However, I do not know the specifics about which direction is being blocked in afterwards as not many Valkyries are actually seen, so this statement is more of a theory of sorts. I dunno what to call this in all honesty.

This is it for my post, I hope you guys enjoyed and maybe this can be a long full length conversation. It is not really much, but I do hope you appreciate this.
