It took long enough to get the items i have and builds i have made. I have also died countless times just as we all have. So considering enemy explosive damage is crazy high, the ways you can exploit/cheat in pvp, and the fact we are getting the same stuff in hardcore mode as we would in normal, there is no reason to have hardcore. Ever.
With the amount of work the game still needs making a hardcore mode is a waste of time. It's a gimmick. I'm not even going to bother trying it. I don't know why ubisoft wants to diablo 3 this game, but it's a step in the wrong direction.
I suppose it's a way to give us Survival, without really giving us Survival. Other than that, I also don't really see any point in this.
I thought it was interesting, though, the fact that they were adamant on underlining that this was merely put together by a few developers, who thought it might be interesting. Because, deed down, many of us would consider it a literal waste of time, especially taking into account the amount of issues this game has.
Oh good, you all ready tried it.Originally Posted by jmart83 Go to original post
It is a gimmick. It's aimed for those that want the extra level of challenge. You are right that there are other issues that need fixed. We all understand this. With that being said, none of us have tried it. It could be fun and a nice distraction for a few minutes when gear and weapons aren't the most important thing. Plain survival will be key. As others have said, all of this can be done now in the game, but this will bring a special bragging rights to those self proclaimed Elites.
I suggest give it a try, before you hate it. It may be fun or may be the worst idea ever.
Personally, I wanted Survival. This is what they gave us, a copy and paste YOLO. Look at the brightside. At least with the next Raid, it may look more pleasing after this and less complaints from the players.![]()
Yeah its usually the features that the least requested, least interesting least logicel...
...will gets developed and added into the game...
Go figure. This is a troll dev team I've learned that on Div1, yes I was still optimistic for Div 2, but man, they lost me so hard on Division moving forward. I've done spending money on this game and the new Divisions (that will certainly come because lets face it, they do exactly the same sh!t over and over, no chance they will learn from their mistakes) Div 3 will suck too.
I'm done with speaking with them, I gave some feedback and not me not other player got any reply on the feedback forum (so far I've checked some serious feedback posts, and proper ones, devs don't care).
I wish I could talk a dev once on a chat man. They are such a ******** people OMG.
Is this the worse Dev team in the industry? I start to consider them as such honestly.
HAHA You said it right man! Will be such a huge facepalm experience. It will be fun to see the sh!tstorm they receive.Originally Posted by Predy101 Go to original post
But they don't care either way. They just there to earn their salary, they don't care about the long run. They just stop the development of the 2nd Division and start the 3rd one. They don't care, not one thing points toward that they care.
I'm still playing the game. I haven't gone anywhere. With that being said, I'm not going to be fooled by people who seem to be oblivious to what's going on with their own game or what they should be doing, in order to improve it.Originally Posted by YodaMan 3D Go to original post
As you and many others have said, this hardcore gimmick can already be performed in the game. In other words, this supposed new mode is just a literal waste of time, especially considering all the bugs and cheating.
And if you're interested in a real challenge, do what I do, just play Sekiro. That's a challenge. I don't think we should be talking about challenges and hardcore modes, in a game such as The Division. It's disingenuous.
I get it and agree for the most part with you guys. I do enjoy TD series and keep hoping for improvements, some days it is a facepalm. Ok, just about everyday can be a facepalm. I am trying to be positive, knowing that with all my suggestions, they always listen to someone else.
I also understand that they are focusing on a smaller portion of the player base that I may or may not be there target audience. Who knows maybe all of this is to get us to quit complaining about TD. Like they used to say, no matter how bad things get, it can get worse. Players have stated they wanted harder content. I guess this is it.
Maybe during year 2 players will be willing to pay for content, seeing how we know what we get if it's for free.
Tangent: I was foolish enough to get the ultimate edition so i better not have to pay for any more content ever. Paid enough for 2 games worth, so far have received 3 quarters of a game.
I don't see how this hardcore idea had gotten enough support from the development team, the publisher, distributor, so on so forth. I would take an optimization table over hardcore any day. Plus, i can't get anything out of hardcore that i can't get anywhere else. There's nothing in hardcore that's special. If players want hardcore then do this instead, go play the game and if you get killed then logout and delete your character. Boom. There you go. Hardcore. The devs need to not waste their time in this endeavor.
Did I miss the thread with people clamoring for hardcore mode?
Yeah I heard about it, and then I went on living my life...
However, I wait with great excitement for the threads when people get killed though walls in cover, or an audio bug doesn’t allow you to hear that grenade launch that hits you in the teeth. I’ll have my popcorn ready you bunch a masochists.
