Weapons & gear levels, dismantling duplicates and selling process

So i just started playing Breakpoint today and i'm confused about this, can someone please clarify?
Let's say for example i found 10 pieces of MP5 smg's. I equip the first MP5 with the highest level, and now i have to scroll down slowly looking for other MP5's to dismantle? Do i have to do that for each weapon and gear, or am i doing something wrong here?
Such a tedious process and it's my first day.. I already have A LOT of weapons, i can only imagine later when i have hundreds. Why is it not organized better in groups?
I wish i could see all the other MP5's grouped up in a list, so i can dismantle them all at once while keeping the best one locked. If it's too hard to make a separate list for each weapon (which i think it's not), at least make groups like SMG, ASSAULT RIFLE, SNIPER etc. and just have the weapons alphabetically ordered. That way all the MP5'S would be one above/under the other. That would make it so much easier to look, who wants to scroll down looking through ALL the weapons at once? And also, you need to have your mouse cursor on the weapon list in order to scroll, but this opens a weapon information window for each weapon that's covering the list. So now i have to do a tactical strategy on where to place my mouse in order to start the scrolling and dismantling all the extra MP5's that are visible in that tiny little space.
This could've been so much simpler and easier. Finding and leveling weapons should've been like in Wildlands, each weapon has its own unique location and you can pick it up only once, after that it stays with you forever. All those boxes with duplicate weapons should contain already dismantled gear as a resource to upgrade our weapons. Like tagging supplies in Wildlands, simple as that. As for credits and selling, you could sell the dismantled gear for those who want that, same price like the weapons. Why complicate things when' it's not needed? And personally, i don't care much about realism. But for someone who likes realism, this is not realistic at all. Who carries 70 assault rifles, 56 sniper rifles, 12 shotguns and one MP5 in his backpack? (after dismantling the other MP5's that is)
It was already unrealistic in Wildlands to carry all those weapons and being able to choose between them at any given time. But this is way over the top, it feels like playing Skyrim/Oblivion and using feather enchantments or some magical bags. Not to mention the bonus gear stats that make no sense and also seem too magical.

Another 2 questions...Should i start leveling my favorite weapons now, or should i wait until i find weapons that are already high level? Right now my highest level weapon is level 25. Is it worth spending materials for that weapon?
And what if i dismantle a weapon that i was upgrading, will it give more materials?

Oh and i just noticed something...The first MP5 in the list doesn't mean it's the best, you have to closely look in the whole list of weapons to find all the MP5's and see on your own which one has the highest level. And when you equip the best one you found so far, it brings you back to menu, only needing to go back again and start looking for more MP5's that are possibly better so you can equip that one and dismantle the previous one. I thought it's at least automatically sorted from best to worst? Haha please someone tell me if i'm doing this wrong, am i crazy or is this a joke, what is happening? Oooooh i can't believe this, i spent have maybe 6-7 hours in this game and i played only 3...Most of the time i was clicking and scrolling in the menu looking for weapons to dismantle...And great, now the game the connection has been lost Again while typing this.

Honestly, until 252, I'd just go with highest score period. Beyond that blue over green, red over blue, etc. Yes, there are different stats, but it usually comes down to range, damage, mobility, drone damage/evasion, and accuracy. Towards the upper end I was so tired of comparing, since there is no number range in the visual, just a colored/white bar, I just ended up taking which has the least negatives compared to what I had. It is incredibly cumbersome, as is the fact that by the time you hit mid range, you have more components then you will ever use. When I did get to the end, THEN I was able to decide which weapon of each class, and which clothing of which modifiers I wanted, so I could sell the rest. But, by that time, I had bought every thing to buy from the biv shop, had every weapon blueprint, and every attachment. Perhaps it wasn't thought through far enough, or things become placeholders.
As far as leveling weapons, once you level that weapon, it is leveled for all of it for all levels from 1-252, so by all means level you favorites. But be careful, in the early-mid game, some l level components are rather scarce. If you run short, buy from Maria and dismantle.
