I use a lot of motorcycles moving from one place to another because they are fun to use. I don't use a lot of roads, so I drive off-road whenever possible.

fast forwarding to the problem, the current minimap only shows 250m terrain in the direction you are heading, which i think is too little (at least for me). Finding a suitable crossing point (rocks, mountains and rivers) in the current mini-map is not impossible but frustrating at least to say, because i usually have to open the TAC map. This results in more button presses, zooming, maybe scrolling and finally pressing the buttons again to continue driving.

so i would suggest an optional mini map that simply looks further. The current one shows 250m ahead but my suggestion would show at the terrain at least 500-600m ahead (below is a picture of a rough proposal).In my experience, this distance displayed on the map would be quite good and would radically reduce the use of the TAC map.
