Yo, it seems like this little kid needs to go and F*** off and play The Division 1-2 ... Who th F*** in thier right mind would seriously want to keep the USELESS gear score? Its stupid, this is Ghost Recon NOT The Division. ALL Division elements and implantations needs to be removed, granted this "radical" mode is supposed to be a more of a tactical realistic immersive shooter. Now me personally, i think UBISOFT won't remove the gear score, i think they'll keep it for ALL the kiddies that just just want to reuin the game, that is why they're creating this "radical" mode for those players that like to work as a team and clear compounds WITHOUT splitting off from the team just to get a trash crate.
Just my personal preferences.
Kind regards,
BRAVO BT01
Guys everyone has a right to their own opinion and everyone has they own taste about the game. No need to bash him. He is wrong about the behemoth comment for sure but we don’t need to insult him for something he like. Believe it or not some players actually like the gear score and weapon levels. We know it’s very few who prefer this but it’s not just kids that like it. These type of PvE players are different ages and most I came across that mainly like it for replay value. Let’s just enjoy that everyone is getting something they want. Gear or no gear score mode.
I think the original poster is a troll.
No one wants to grind on a ghost recon game, people want to feel like cool badass spec op teams, not fighting lame-*** drones which require no skill to kill.
Just make the game immersive, the environments look amazing and feel's fun to navigate through. We just need more land mine, patrols, etc for the less populated area's which should be a setting we can toggle on or off. E.g Enemy Landmine: On/Off, Search Parties: On/Off.
Stop focusing on lame-*** missions, or give the user power to create missions. Let the players to the hard work, not the developers.
However, seeing how Ubisoft has been run the last few years there seems to be a dickhead working there ruining the games and needs to be fired.
While weapon tiers and GS are not what GR is it is what some want so they can have a drive to push foward and the game is also built so if u don't like this system u are not forced to grind it as stated here.....
Q: We’ve seen a lot of questions from our community about tiered loot, both weapons and equipment. Can you go into the team’s philosophy behind their implementation in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint?
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint remains a skill-based military shooter – this is the core identity upon which the rest of the game has been built. All of the player customization elements included in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint are there to add depth to the military shooter gameplay, while staying true to the spec ops experience.
Our vision is to create a system that encourages players to try out different types of weapons and create a large amount of variety when it comes to gameplay opportunities.
Based on the data we analyzed in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon® Wildlands, many of our players were getting a single weapon and sticking with it throughout the game without changing much.
This is absolutely something you can do in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, but we really wanted to create a system that encourages players to test out much more of your possible arsenal. Our team has put a lot of effort into giving each of the weapon types a lot of fun gameplay potential and unique handling, so we’re confident that given the incentive to try out new combinations, our community will really enjoy the variety and create unique builds for every playstyle!
For example, let’s say you want to try a more stealthy approach. You can equip the CQC variant of an SMG with bonuses that increase handling and mobility while choosing skills that up your stealth and speed. Using this build will work well with the strengths of the Panther class.
We really want to emphasize here that the goal of this system in Ghost Recon Breakpoint is not to make the experience feel dependent on random chance, in terms of progression.
There is an element of randomness when you get a loot drop – but it is not the core mechanic of the game, nor is it fundamentally necessary to switch out a lower Gear Level gun you like just because you got a slightly higher Gear Level of a different weapon.

Is this thread even real or am I imagining it?
I imagine the Devs will just add another mode as opposed to cutting the current content, and nullifying 3 years worth of development. We'll most likely see an update bring back Ghost Mode that removes the loot tiers and requires a new character.
Reduces TTK to hugh level enemies.Originally Posted by TheVoodoo_1980 Go to original post
I dont know how it calculates, but I noticed quite different results when shooting to chest... not to mention drones
I would like to see gear score removed.
The guys in this video make some good suggestions as to what could replace it, which would be more skill and feat based.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=r70_iCfmfzE
For example if you have to complete challenges to level up your character (as we do with the current classes 1-10), but these go all the way up to 50 or more.
That way when you look to match make with a player with a high score, it represents skill as opposed to just time put into the game.
The score you have is more meaningful.
Another example might be panther class who has to complete challenges like taking down a base undetected with a pistol, or CQC only etc
I agreed with you ... it would be a Big Mistake to remove it ... But it's their Choosoe ... so let's see how this will going if they remove Tiere weapon .. I and my Friends will stop playing it because Go base shoot all and again? nope thanks have lot of this in WildlandsWon game with only one gun? no reason to put another 853 guns if they will be almost the same ...+ it will Destroy RAID
