The corner take down is dodgy at best because it's not just a button press. Trying to silently grab an enemy from the corner takes too long so much so you may miss entirely and do nothing after holding the button. If you shorten it to a button tap at least you have a grace period to attempt the grapple again before everyone in a facility is alerted.
