Hey,
This error means you launched the game originally whilst logged in to a different Uplay account.
Please can you go to this location:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\cache\user_profile
Can you see more than 1 profile ID here for more than 1 account?
If so, please can you copy and paste all the profile ID's on to a support ticket as that will help us find the account it's linked to.
If you only have 1 profile ID showing there, please also provide your 17 digit Steam ID, as this may also help find the original account it was linked to.
You can find this on your Steam profile page. There will be a URL link near the top. The Steam ID will be the 17 digits at the end of the link.
When you have created the support ticket with that information, feel free to post your ticket number here and we can look into it too, but you will get a reply by email.
Hi there, the error message you are describing usually occurs when you are trying to launch a game from your Steam library which is already linked to another Ubisoft account.
As there has been a slight change to the way we process these queries can I ask if you could contact us with the information below via our social media accounts on Twitter or Facebook :
1) an image showing your steam ID which you can locate using the following FAQ
2) an image showing the proof of purchase which you can find by clicking on your username in the top right corner of your steam client and clicking "Account Details" and then "View Purchase History"..
3) an image showing your "Ownership" folder which you can locate here : C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\cache\ownership
To confirm this would need to be a full screen image clearly showing the above information along with, your Steam username and system clock for verification.
