    Ridiculous

    Same thing happened to me, and it's 2021 so they obviously didn't give a 5hit. Absolutely ridiculous. I have the cool Pirate set too, level 67, or 68, wtv, and he's just not there. The Weapons area obviously has a check mark next to it, I did a muse tale too, and nadda. I also had to go back 6 hours or so bc I killed the Arena Cult guy in on a Naval mission. He came after me bc of the bounty I guess. Anyway, he fell off the ship, and I could not get his shard bc he was alive when he fell off I guess. I had kept playing thinking he'd spawn on shore or back at the arena, but no. So all the way back to that save, thank god I did a manual one for some odd reason that time, but still, going back 6 hours, then avoiding ships AND paying my bounty, ON A NAVAL MISSION doesn't make the mission, or the game very enjoyable.

    I'm signed up for their $15/m sub plan, and this is the only game I've played more than an hour of (I started Far Cry 5 but was bored quickly. I'm not big on not being able to see yourself in stealth (ei in Deus Ex you're first person except stealth) so I figure that I'll give a few more games a shot. Not AC, there are just too many issues reported for the 3 I hadn't played, and I'm not putting 100+ hours in to never finish).

    @Ubisoft or u/Ubisoft
    When a game is still selling a few hundred thousand copies a year you need to keep addressing bugs. You stop when the game starts selling 25k, not 1m. Second. When you run a sreaming service you fix your games while they are on the service. Fricken EA, EA!!! fixes 20 year old games on Origin, and you have already bailed on a game still selling well? CDPR still addresses Witcher 2 bugs. But again, you won't touch the bugs on this game, that's still selling well AND IS ON A STREAMING SERVICE?

    Get it together or this is going to fail very, very quickly.

    Also, no trophies/achievements. That's really cool. Thanks for that.

    Edit: I'm a moron. After searching a bit more it turns out this was fixed by adding another quest and ressurecting Rhexnor. A little odd, but hey, it works and the quest is quick, concise and well written, so I threw a tantrum for essentially nothing. The quest is built into the main story again, so it is essentially impossible to miss unless you quit playing before hand. You'll again meet with Socrates, who asks you to meet him at Periclese's old home and plays out very similar to the first one with far less running around. Thespis is needed for a play again, you're asked by...err, the Director/Writer guy to find him. He's nearby, needs his "Muse", you take care of getting her, she asks you to kill Rhexy and bring back his little sword (again, just like the first time), you accept, go to the Barracks, keep following the prompts and finally...it's all resolved. QA should have this bug in their _book of bugs and resolutions._ It would save a lot of time and keep who knos how many people from just quitting and even worse for Ubisoft, saying negative things, and feeling unsatisfied with Ubisoft as a brand.

    Ubisoft just isn't a good team anymore.

    This is exactly what you can count on from Ubisoft these days, and nothing more. I can't even count the number of bugs I've encountered in their games (some literally game breaking, like this one, soft locking the platinum trophy,) with this exact response that they just gave you. It's basically them saying, in not so many words:
    "Sorry, our income is coming from other games now, so you're SOL, pal. You're just not who/what we care about."

    Ubisoft NEVER misses a beat when it comes to their transactional content (there's nothing "micro" about transactions of $20, $50, $100, don't play into that normalizing propaganda,) so it's clear as glass exactly where their priorities lie. They only care about money and to hell with player satisfaction.

    Actions speak louder than words.

    This is exactly why I don't spend money on Ubisoft products anymore, and almost certainly never will in the future. I'll revisit the games I own from time to time, but they will never get a cent out of me if they're so vocally unwilling to spend such a trivial amount of time and money to even make their games finishable. If you have this bug, your game CANNOT BE FINISHED.
    And oh yeah, no refunds!

    Ubisoft's decency and legacy died years ago.
    This is the kind of thing that defines their company.
