It baffles me when some of you guys complain so much about bullet sponge but you accept Wildlands Tier mode, Unidad, Predator crossover, and pvp classes(assaults with bonus health/armor) that was considered bulletsponge.
Wildlands was not a perfect game in any way. Launch was horrible. You get stuck in between rocks and if this happened you had to spawn off someone if they was with you to actually play. Otherwise you had to blow yourself up to restart wherever you was and thats if you was lucky to have a grenade with you. Keep in mind this was in the beginning of the game before you fast travel to safe houses. You couldn't climb most rocks, couldn't shoot thru leaves, and so on... It was a complete mess in the beginning. Sometimes rebel assistance or spawning vehicles didn't work. Vehicles was horrible at first especially the helicopters.
PvP wasn't so rock n roll either. Thermal clearly broke the game. Drones was always in the air especially when it was for both support and recruit classes. Hits didn't register on players, leaves, fences. Once the predator class came out the game turn into a bulletsponge fest with assaults. Artillery mortars either didn't deploy or hit trees/rooftops not damaging players. Gas drones sometimes didn't affect enemies.
Sometimes you get stuck holding grenade causing you not to shoot the remainder of match. Gun used to get jammed, gun stick out your chest where you couldn't shoot, and sometimes you get stick in NV/thermal. Athletic sprint perk made players lighting fast that had to be nerf and assassins was OP. Pathfinder was ridiculous in every WAY. Scout drone barely worked and sometimes get stuck in medic drone view if you played medic class prior. Tank ability to unmark teammates on elimination mode caused multiple absurb draws. Medic drone wouldn't revive sometimes.
Echelon clearly ruin any tactics during that time. Sometimes gas traps from whatever that class name didn't work. Sometimes mines didn't explode. The drone that threw down traps wasn't tactical. Sometimes when you ADS you get stuck in FPV. Gamechat using mics barely work half the time. There was times you couldn't select a class and you be stuck on recruit. Being kicked to the menu when joining quickplay/rank mode wasn't fun. Coca Farm never return cause the devs was lazy to fix it so you can only play in customs.
Game Audio use to go out to which was very important in PvP. TTK time to kill was too high compare to breakpoint. Classes was not balanced especially since Ubi bright idea was to select guns. Did you know when Ghost War started each of the first classes release had only 1 or 2 guns? Ghost War was even delayed for 6 months so no PvP in Wildlands at launch. Peer to peer servers with the host migration was ridiculous. Suppression was by far the most broken mechanic. How can a pistol suppress you or if the enemy shoot a hill in front of you and not you yourself you get suppressed.
I can go on but I'm kind of tired of blasting to the past nightmares. Too be honest Wildlands bugs was worst than Breakpoint imo. Since there was about what 40 developers it took time to fix. Breakpoint being out for 2 months cleared a lot of bugs pretty fast compared to Wildlands starting off. Does Breakpoint has more bugs than Wildlands starting off. Most likely yes. Can't deny that but they wasn't as gamebreaking as wIldlands. Really weird you guys compare a 2 year old game that took time to fix that still has bugs till this day to a 2 month game that was just released.
We complain about GR being TD or RPG clone but we ok with Wildlands being GTA and stealing is police stars when Undidad alert goes up. This community lol. Apple and Oranges I tell ya. The raid is ok. Hopefully the next raid is less bulletsponge and more unique
